I lead a fairly quiet life these days, but I do enjoy company occassionaly and certainly a laugh and a joke. My principal interest is reading,current affairs also cooking for friends, eating out now and then.
Background of nursing all of my life, part time now. I was married and have three grown up children.
I am quite slim build.

Cooking	Love cooking, from tradtional british, Italian Nigella Lawson's style of cookery appeal strongly to me plus a dash of Delia sometimes and definately Nigel Slater
Shopping	Love shopping can spend hours when in the mood especially for clothes, but equally like to spend hours in bookshops Hard to define why, clothes are frivolous but to me books feed the soul
DIY	Completely non DIY, wish I were more handy
Housework	Do like house to look tidy, can be a slob at times, dont believe in becoming a slave to it, have other stuff more important
Dining out	Love to eat out, Italian, french, pub/bistro style and Indian curries
Movies	Chickflicks for light entertainment
Theatre	Would love to go to theatre more often Some shakespeare, serious plays are to my taste
Music	Love rock n roll, modern jazz, Miles Davis, Wynton Marsalis et al, love Dianna Krall, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, fairly broad taste I would say. plus a good measure R & B, and 60's etc
Gigs	No preference here, but do like a pub band ocassionally, but would not now go to big gigs or stadia these days
Pubs	Not a big pub fan now but open to persuasion, quite like a pub that serves food and where you can hear yourselves speak
Clubbing	Definately yes, behind me
Newspapers and magazines	Sunday Times, Telegraph, occassionally Guardian or Independent during the week
Books	Book lover, currently at bedside have Revelation, biography of John Betjemen also John Lennon. 1001 books you must read before you die
TV	BBC new, current affairs, question time, cant resist Master Chef and Come dine with me.history programs
Watching sport	Never watch sport with one exception, always watch Liverpool game - come on you reds, youl never walk alone
Playing sport	Never
Hobbies	None to speak of or could be admitted to on here!!

What would I never, ever give up?	Books and newspapers I cheated there two things but they are both to read. You can lose yourself in a good book and they are sometimes a vehicle for learning
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Freedom, Justice and Tolerance
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	The southern states in USA when Martin Luther King was leading freedom marches, the I have a dream speech, paving the way for Barak Obama to achieve the impossible - a black president in the White House
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	Children's charities
