Hey! Honest, straightforward guy here with no baggage! Form an orderly queue please and no pushing at the back ... (I wish, lol!)

Unfortunately I’m so unconventional it won’t suit most people and I know pretty much what I want, so there aren’t going to be any queues but hey ho, I’m just here in the hope my soulmate is as well.

The trappings of wealth interest me not in the slightest bit. Personal achievement and what people can do with their skills and talents is my way of judging people. Money doesn’t make you happy.

I ride fabulous old motorcycles and don’t own a car. Not being a “biker” does not rule you out and I describe myself as a motorcyclist because I don’t do it for the image. I can fix anything and am immensely practical. I used to write computer games for a living and now write technical books. And I get to work at home, so whoopee, no commuting! My income is very low but I do actually live quite comfortably – all those money saving experts on the TV have nothing on me. But I eat out only very occasionally. Any date would have to be going dutch and not for dinner.

I've never had children or the desire to and don’t want to meet anyone with children still living at home. My nephews and nieces are truly wonderful and an inspiration to me and they are enough. And sorry but I don’t want to meet a dog owner either. I only want a smoker or someone who really, honestly (come on, be honest now) is not bothered by it. It’s my only vice and I’m fed up of being made to feel guilty for it.

I don’t want anybody who has never fallen in love. Some people aren’t capable of it and they can be heart breakers.

I discover what’s good about someone and then enthuse about it. I am happiest when I can enthuse about something or someone. I only want to meet someone who does this as well and I don’t mean in a besotted way. I mean standing back, taking a considered look at someone and deciding they have value.

Basically I want a genuinely good woman who I can hang out with and talk about anything and everything with. Calm, gentle and just plain lovely please :o)
