I've read quite a few profiles on here and everyone seems to enjoy doing the same things as me! Could that be why the restaurants are always packed eh? Anyway I like to do the usual things, and I'm happy to be outdoors or indoors, whatever is right for you. I do enjoy dining out, but am just as happy with a takeaway, and sharing a nice comfy sofa with you.
I have a warm spirit, a generous nature, enjoy good conversation and like sincerity. I'm also a good listener and don't take myself too seriously. You won't find me boasting or bragging or insulting. I'm easy going and interested in your point of view.
I'm interested in all kinds of music, though tend to enjoy blues, jazz and rock in a live setting. My musical taste does lean towards the dancier side of things, ie soul, funk, reggae and I love Goerge Benson, Al Jarreau, Brand New Heavies, Steel Pulse and the like. I've danced in clubs, halls, fields, warehouses and woods.
I am carrying quite a few extra pounds, but exercise whenever I can with a goal to losing that extra baggage and getting fit. Lost 4 stones over the past year or so, aiming to lose more over the next year too. I like to dress casually but can and will look smart as well. My aim is to impress after all!

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	I like cooking simple dishes, Italian, Spanish, Mexican, Indian, in fact mainly Mediterranean in style with herbs and spices thrown in. I love savoury dishes.
Shopping	Shopping for me depends upon the mood I am in and the reason for heading out there. I do like shopping with other people though, especially if they want an unbiased second opinion.
DIY	Not too brilliant at diy I'm afraid, I can do lots of things but there are better exponents of the dark art out there!
Housework	I like a house to be nice and tidy, but not too bothered if things are not in their rightful place or the room isn't spotless. I'm a dab hand with a duster and vacuum cleaner though!
Dining out	I love eating out, and like to try different cuisine whenever possible. I like being surprised, but in a nice way. My ideal style of food is Mediterranean, ie Spanish, Itlalian, Moroccan etc. Having said that I am equally happy cooking a nice meal, or having a takeway in front of the tv!
Movies	Love the cinema. Like comedies, dramas, arthouse, thrillers, pretty much everything really. I can provide a nice comfy shoulder to rest on if that horror flick proves too much for you lol!
Theatre	Love the theatre. I like all types of shows, from Shakespeare to We Will Rock You. Quite often I can be found at Chichester Festival Theatre taking in a good production. If I'm honest, I like vibrant, new, fresh plays the most.
Music	I love all kinds of music, but concentrate mainly on the dancier side of things: soul, funk, house, techno, reggae, etc.
Gigs	I love live music, whether it's listening to a band at the local tavern, or a well established World star in a large concert hall.
Pubs	I don't go the pub that often unless it's to catch a good live show. Having said that I do like going to beer festivals but that's not too often either, and I can usually be found on the other side of the bar pouring pints instead of downing them!
Clubbing	I used to go clubbing but things have calmed down now. I was always more fond of dancing in fields, woods and warehouses anyway 8¬)
Newspapers and magazines	I do read cinema magazines, photography magazines and the occasional pc mag. I read the local paper too.
Books	I don't really get much chance to read these days...
TV	The tv is okay! I don't watch a lot of it though, I'm often doing other things 8¬)
Watching sport	I love footie and motoGP.
Playing sport	I don't really play much sport, my leisure time is taken up with exercising and social engagements.
Hobbies	None that can be mentioned in these pages! You'll have to wait and see! 8¬)

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	On a tropical island with a smile on my face and my darling by my side.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	My Mum, Dad and elder Sister. Two of them are no longer alive, I will not say which ones.
My ideal date	A nice meal, good conversation and a moonlight walk to finish with.
What would I never, ever give up?	I will never give up my sense of optimism. It's what makes me the person I am.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Decaying cityscapes and awful urban renewal programmes.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	I'd be right here, right now because that's what life is all about, looking forward not looking back.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	Cancer UK or British Heart Foundation
