My hobbies and interests

Cooking	Love to cook simple dishes, and can cook three or four main dishes without a recipe - wow!
Shopping	Love it! Enjoy bagging a bargain (but it has to be something I'll actually wear!)
DIY	Erm, a walking disaster with any sort of tool - I'm afraid I'm hopeless!
Housework	Weekdays - mostly a slob. Weekends - OK (after Saturday morning tidy up). Housework is a pain but can also be therapeutic if you're in the mood.
Dining out	Love to eat out - will try most things. Trying to be reasonably healthy at the moment but not always succeeding!
Movies	Love romantic films, historical dramas and kids' films!
Theatre	Not a culture vulture, but would certainly give it a go!
Music	Seventies pop is the best - they don't make them like that any more!
Gigs	Haven't been to a gig in decades but am certainly open to the idea....
Pubs	Occasional pub visitor. Don't mind whether it's a pint or a glass, as long as there's alcohol inside!
Clubbing	Not usually a clubber, unless I've had a jolly good drink first!
Newspapers and magazines	Local paper, Daily Mail on Saturday - I think it's got the best free TV guide.
Books	Only read books occasionally.
TV	Love watching TV. Generally don't watch the soaps, reality shows or talent contests - I think they are tacky.
Watching sport	Adore football. Hate rugby, have never understood the rules! Also hate cricket, especially live cricket - a contradiction in terms if ever there was one.....
Playing sport	Nope! Enjoy walking, swimming and working out in fitness suites but hate team games due to bad memories of school sport.

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	Not totally sure.... ask me again when I'm grown up!
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	Richard Branson - seems to make a success of everything Bobby Robson - football/manager legend My paternal grandmother - died a decade before I was born
My ideal date	A lovely sunny day, strolling along the promenade by the sea, enjoying a bag of chips and watching the world go by....
What would I never, ever give up?	Numerous mugs of tea. I'm addicted!
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	The need for everyone to reduce household waste.... is that too worthy?
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	That's a hard one.... maybe a northern English factory during the Industrial Revolution, to see what conditions were really like. Then I would be glad to get back to the 21st century.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	One that helps starving people in Africa. Most of us don't realise just how lucky we are.
