Queeny Bee (30) from Herefordshire
I am pretty artistic, and I love interacting with people. I love music-I find/review new bands/musicians for a radio station as well as enjoying a sing-song myself. I have a good and varied sense of humour and that's something very important to me in others too.
I read a hell of a lot, which surprises me, since I don't seem to stop talking/singing/cackling for long enough to do so ;) I adore my family and friends, and love to cook big cosy meals for everyone, or put the world to rights at the pub. I work in the arts and also do some independent historical research.
I am planning to move to Cornwall when I finish my degree, so would like to get acquainted with some people in that neck of the woods before I arrive. I'm looking for friends who are fun, interesting and willing to show me around etc. when I relocate :)
About me
I'm 30 years old and come from Herefordshire in the United Kingdom. I'm divorced with no kids. I'm 5' 2" tall and of cuddly build. I don't smoke and I like a drink. I'm here for friendship, hobbies and interests and business contacts.

My hobbies and interests

Cooking
I love to cook...I mostly make it up as I go along, and I love Italian and French cooking. My Parisian style French Onion soup is one of my favourite recipes, as is my risotto. I also like baking tomato and parmesan bread and things like that. I've banned myself from making cakes because they disappear too quickly which is just not good. (They're like heart disease on a plate).

Shopping
I used to love shopping-I found it very satisfying, but now I can take or leave it because there are other things I'd rather do. I'm still very good at it though ;)
DIY
I just about manage. I am good at building flatpack stuff, and putting up shelves, although I get bored quickly with painting and suchlike, even though I love interior decorating.
Housework
I'm houseproud. It's not even that I enjoy housework-I don't, I just just think there's no excuse for living in filth. I can't relax when everything is a mess, plus keeping on top of things saves so much time.
Dining out
I like to eat out, or have people over for dinner/go to their place. I don't eat much meat but I do like a good steak. I like pasta dishes and stuffed mushrooms and so on. I don't like fruit in savoury dishes though. I don't know what that's about. And I can't deal with seafood. Mashed potato is always good.
Movies
I can take or leave the cinema. I enjoy it when I do go, I'm not a fantatic though.
Theatre
Again, I don't mind going now and then, but not a fanatic. My favourite plays are Blithe Spirit, An Inspector Calls, The Importance of Being Ernest, and Entertaining Mr Sloane. I saw Romeo and Juliet in the grounds of a castle last summer too and that was brilliant.

Music
All sorts! My favourite genre is punk-the Pistols, the Damned, the Adverts, X-Ray Spex, Elvis Costello, The Only Ones and so on, but I also like the Prodigy, Pendulum, a bit of Venetian Snares. I love the Kinks and the Turtles and the Stones and T.Rex, Gary Numan, Half Man Half Biscuit, Gene Vincent, Connie Francis and other 50's stuff, I like Jeff Buckley, Tori Amos, PJ Harvey, Morcheeba, Massive Attack, Erasure, The Darkness, Depeche Mode,The Underscore Orkestra, Diabolo Swing Orchestra, Horrorpops, The Seeds, I Monster,Soulwax, Suede, Codeine Velvet Club, Rob Zombie, Goldfrapp, Shakespears Sister, James, Theatre of Tragedy, Violent Femmes, Prince and loads more...

Gigs
Depends who the band is, although I tend to prefer smaller gigs so I actually feel like I'm AT a gig.
Pubs
I like going to pubs and so on, because I like the chat and the intimacy. I prefer to avoid the ones packed with underage squawking people, but then who doesn't?
Clubbing
I don't mind clubbing every now and again, but I've recently come to the conclusion that for the most part, it just bores me these days.
Newspapers and magazines
I don't really read the newspapers. I do read 'Scarlet' though.
Books
I love to read books-my favourites are Lost Souls by Poppy Z.Brite, anything by Raffaella Barker or Francesca Lia Block, The Turn of the Screw, by Henry James, The Bell Jar - Sylvia Plath, and many others. I'm currently reading Columbine by Dave Cullen

TV
I don't really watch a lot of tv. Saying that, I do enjoy a big dose of Eastenders on a Sunday afternoon (I don't know why!) What I mostly watch is dvds of tv series, like Bottom, Spaced, The Golden Girls, Black Books, Men Behaving Badly, Peep Show, Shirley Ghostman, The Boosh, Nathan Barley, The League of Gentlemen, Jam, Big Train, Gavin and Stacey, Nighty Night, Alan Partridge and so on, and that's just to wind down in bed at the very end of the day.
Watching sport
I watch Everton play, not very often though because it gives me the vapours.
Other than that, I don't see the point in watching sport/computer games-surely it's better to do it yourself? I get far too irritated/impatient!
Playing sport
I love to play badminton and I like to prance about. Other than that, I think there's more to life than wasting a big part of the day-and your wage packet-at the gym.
Hobbies
I'm the historical researcher for a paranormal investigation team-it's good fun being able to poke around buildings with areas that are normally closed to the public. I'm on the fence about paranormal activity though. I find and review bands for a radio station which is always interesting. I'm doing a degree in counselling/psychotherapy at the moment. I like being arty and creative in general, whether it's doing oil paintings, or using clay, taking photos, making clothes and things, I'd love to have another go at stone sculpture too.
