My hobbies and interests

Cooking	Yes, lots of salads, mostly healthy food, fish, chicken, roast dinners, vegetables but I am partial to chocolate & ice cream as well! I love tapas, Italian, Mexican, Greek & West Indian dishes.
Shopping	I don't particularly like shopping (because I hate queues), but I do shop regularly nevertheless! Prefer to shop online though, so much easier & stress free!
DIY	I'm not bad-I can change a lightbulb, change a plug/fuse ( as I live alone so I have to!) I can decorate & I'll try & do most things... If I can't do it.... I get a man in!!
Housework	Very houseproud! I detest dirt & although I font mind a little mess in a home because that's what makes a home a home.... I don't like laziness! I prefer neat, clean & tidy!
Dining out	Tapas, Mexican, Greek, Italian, west Indian & fish & chips!
Movies	Favourite films include, goodfellas, Bronx tale, training day, raging bull, shogun assassin. & stand up comedy.
Theatre	Local plays, like ballet too.
Music	R&b mostly, old & new stuff. Reggae, soul, some jazz. Don't like pop music.
Gigs	Like concerts but only for artists that I really enjoy! Love outdoor concerts & shows
Pubs	Don't mind pubs, wine bars occasionally. Like a drink at home in front of the tv.
Clubbing	Not really... Been there done that! Would have to be for a very special occasion!
Newspapers and magazines	Tend to catch up with the headline news online or via tv. I do keep up with what's going on around the world on a daily basis.
Books	Love all types of books! I would be in heaven if I was locked overnight in a bookshop!! Fact, fiction, philosophy, self help, funny, sad.... Everything!
TV	Face soap is coronation St - but its not the end of the world if I miss it! Love documentaries, films, period dramas, comedys.
Watching sport	Like watching athletics, boxing, dont mind football. Love olympics!
Playing sport	Sadly no!
Hobbies	Writing, home improvement, walking/jogging, self improvement/awareness! Spending time with family, travelling, planning holidays!

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	As long as I'm happy & healthy I don't mind! I don't think that far ahead!
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	Paul o'grady, Alan Carr & Peter Kay, it would be a scream!!!
My ideal date	A walk, nice cosy restaurant, walk home, brandy while watching a funny DVD!
What would I never, ever give up?	I would never ever give up my collection of photographs that I have collected over the years of my family. Most especially the precious memories of those members of my family who are no longer alive.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	The importance of raising children to have respect for others, to teach children discipline & boundaries & to learn that there are consequences to every action. To teach young people that children are a huge responsibility & not a fashion accessory! Most importantly, that adults have a responsibility to nuture & protect children & that what happens during a Childs formative years can affect them for the rest of their lives. As adults, we can choose to abuse/mess up our own lives but we have no right to do it to innocent children.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	Ancient Rome. I seem to be drawn to that era for some reason!
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	I'm afraid I'd have to share it between cancer research & children living in poverty.
My "and finally" section ...	Lastly, life has enough stresses by virtue of living day to day (work, bills, wars, politics etc) without having people in your life that add to that. Id like to meet someone that adds to all that I already have... No dramas!!
