Hi; I’m Luke. I’m looking for friends and hopefully a LTR. All contacts are initially welcomed as friends, anything more will depend on how we get along.

I enjoy travel ... tho I haven’t seen half as much of the world as I’d like to yet. I love Italy and Greece, for their history, art and culture. Some of the places I still want to go/things to do - sailing down the Nile to view the great temples and tombs of Egypt; cruising the Norwegian fiords, and maybe seeing the aurora; diving on the coral reefs in the Red Sea; dreaming some Dreamtime in the Australian Outback; watching lions play in the Serengeti; and also maybe just travelling around in a motor-home enjoying life as it comes and visiting new places and taking in the beautiful scenery at home and abroad.. I will win the lottery one day :)

I am an animal and country loving man. I live in a small village near open countryside, and spend lots of time out walking my little collie dog. I also share my home with 2 cats, a couple of chipmunks, and a few rabbits! I used to work with an exotic animals sanctuary - I’ve worked with ponies and pythons, gophers and geckos, sugar gliders and skunks! I still do some voluntary work with a dog sanctuary, which I love. At one time I trained huskies for dog scootering, but these days it’s the gentler walks and socialization I’m involved with.

I’m a confident, intelligent, capable man with a good education and a responsible profession; yet I am also in touch with my feelings, and am happy expressing my caring, affectionate nature. If you’re looking for someone with whom to spend some time cuddling by the fireside on a cold winters evening - look no further! I do miss that.

I love to drive and explore places, especially visits to lakes and mountains and the coast. I seek someone to travel with and enjoy seeing this country and the world in all its beauty, yet also share the more homely times with.

I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, entertaining or just sitting back in a nice pub or restaurant and letting someone else provide the fare. I think life can pass us by so quickly; we need to make some effort to make the most of the time we have! Hence I also get out when I can, to the cinema, comedy club, theatre or ballet, or visiting places of interest, whether they’re grand old houses, ancient monuments, secluded beaches, or art galleries. And I usually know or find the nice little café or pub just round the corner!

I can rough it as much as anyone else, and I also scrub up pretty well - in fact I can adapt to most situations - one of my talents :)

I am quite a spiritual person, although not tied to any one religion. I was raised catholic, and still find a lot of interest within the Christian faith; but today I am very drawn to Buddhist practice, and I have studied many of the worlds great religions, and found something of value and interest within most. I see life as a series of daily miracles; and I try to maintain an open and positive attitude towards everyone I meet. I love to read, talk and gain knowledge - admit when I am wrong yet stand up for what I believe is right!

Friends have told me at various times that I am - sincere, genuine, honest, loving, spontaneous, kind, confident, romantic, dependable, charismatic, full of wonder and childlike dreams, and totally unique :) - although not usually all at the same time! I’m not sure what the ‘unique’ bit was about, either……….!

I love to go trekking, camping, swimming in the sea, or watch films at home cuddled up in front of the fire. I enjoy a glass of wine or beer with the conversation of good friends; I love reading, and am presently still writing my book! Music I enjoy tends to be mainly classical, and also some rock - Springsteen, Madonna, Kate Bush, to mention a few. :) I do occasionally play the guitar and have a decent singing voice with which to serenade you.

I am a born romantic and poems and flowers will come your way because I love to give - and of course am not averse to receiving either !

I believe in life as a joyful journey, and that my soulmate is out there, waiting for me.

I am looking for a kind, caring, gentle, loving woman, one with a great personality and a character that makes me smile on good days, yet can wipe away the sadness with compassion on those bad days we all have sometimes. Someone who I can talk with and listen to for hours on end - from stories of travel to books we’ve read, how your day has gone, or just humour that gives you that ache in your stomach from laughing - I love to laugh :)

You will be open to offering the same honesty and openess that I offer.

How we gel is more important than any material or financial issues. I have always had various businesses and still have opportunities ongoing.

You will appreciate I am a strong, confident man, with a wild side and a touch of attitude that pops out and needs controlling sometimes. I like to make sure the woman in my life has everything she desires.. not just material.. but emotional and spiritual too.

I have a daughter who lives with my ex some 500 miles away. I adore her - my daughter, not my ex! (Although my ex and I are still good friends - she might give me a reference if I asked………!) I see her most school holidays and we speak on the phone and online regularly (this is still my daughter we’re talking about ; not the ex…..) I’m perfectly happy if you have children, and am open to more if that floats your boat! We may need to get to know one another a little better first…….lol!

You would respect my relations with friends and family, as I would yours. I hope we shall each become part of one another’s families as time progresses. You would also forgive easily when I have moments that need to be ignored and just write it off to me being a man! I’ll do my best to do the same for you when necessary…….although obviously, you don’t have those kind of moments………do you?!

I seek the Jane to my Tarzan, the Juliet to my Romeo, and the Princess for this Frog…….ahem; I mean Prince……...
