Firstly, let's get the physical stuff out of the way. I'm 6ft 4ins tall, clean shaven with short-cropped hair and blue eyes. I'd describe myself as average looking. I'm not the first person you'd ever notice walking into a room, and when you think about it that's not always such a bad thing!

I'm quite old-fashioned in my values and am also a bit of a romantic. I like to think that I have a caring nature and would do anything for my friends and know I would get the same back. And I think I've got a very good sense of humour.

On the material side of things I work full time in admin (boring but pays the bills!) and I'm relatively solvent. However I'm an unpretentious person and am not particularly impressed by flash cars or the latest mobile phone - and that's not just because I haven't got either of them!

I went to the gym once and was bored to death by it! So I tend to keep reasonably fit by doing lots of walking and some cycling - but not when it's cold! Also, the prospect of a pub at the end of the journey has been known to provide extra motivation!

I wouldn't try to pretend that my interests are anything out of the usual -scuba diving and mountain climbing are definately not on the agenda! However I'm usually willing to try anything once except for parachute jumping! 

At 46 years of age I've managed to work out that none of us are perfect - I know I'm not. However I do think I have some good qualities that I have listed above and I would like to see something similar in a prospective partner. So, if you're a similar age, honest, romantic and loyal and you care about other people and have a good sense of humour then I think we would have something to build upon.
