Now retired, I feel this is an opportunity to start afresh. On the outside, I'm friendly, caring, honest quiet living but on the inside I'm fairly adventurous. I can be content curling up in front of TV with a glass of red wine or going for midnight stroll. My tastes in theatre/cinemas are just as varied as my hobbies, and ranges from Shakespear to Harry Potter. I have one daughter living away from home. I don't feel ready for the slippers and knitting yet. I see my retirement as a challenge for the future. 

I would like to make new friends, whether it's penpals, meeting up for coffee or outings. Friendships develop but they all need a starting place so I am quite happy meeting people on a "see how it goes" basis
