Peterawm (73) from Berkshire

I am an easy-going, home loving almost retired lover of books and music.I have a quiet little house in Maidenhead and I would love to share it with somebody of similar tastes. I enjoy robust good health and I am fit and still reasonably strong, but I no longer engage in any active sports.
I began working life as a university teacher - Mathematics - but fairly quickly moved into engineering. I spent about twenty years working in the Oil & Gas business with a couple of breaks as a mangement consultant. Ihave worked as a free-lance technical writer for the past ten years. My marriage broke up about fifteen years ago but I remain on good terms with my wife; we still "share" our four kids and the resultant growing flock of grandchildren. Apart from reading and music I amuse myself with crossword puzzles, DIY and clock-mending.

I seek an educated lady who enjoys current affairs and idle chatter,who likes peace and solitude most of the time but who is not averse to a little adventure and experiment as well. Whilst I would be lying if I said looks did not matter the wrapping is far less important than the content. One of my unfulfilled projects is to buy a cheap little two berth touring caravan and spend three to six months touring the middle regions of France - Does that sound like your bag?
