I’m tall, slim, fair, active, optimistic and musical with a passion for the outdoors and for reading, writing (stories and poems), chat, learning and being happy with others. Think I’ve a pretty sparky sense of humour, am honest, broad-minded, and open, outwardly assured but at heart a shy guy though I love company, companionship and new experiences too. Very creative, imaginative, committed and passionate about people and causes I believe in. Trusting and immensely sincere.

For me my friends, good conversation and company, great food (really enjoy cooking – though a confession - my favourite meal’s a bacon roll), dining (out or in), classic movies and the outdoors with lots of fresh air and exercise, all make life worth living. Maybe I’m probably hard to imagine - running an online business and writing poetry that’s richly descriptive, rhymes and sounds like Dylan Thomas. A dream day ? – an afternoon in the country rounded off with an evening with friends reading each other’s favourite poetry or plays round the fire with a glass (well several glasses !) of wine.

Contradictory perhaps but a countryside lover at home in wide open spaces and rolling hills and moors who can’t be far from a theatre or cinema. So much music in my blood but my desert island has to make room for Rachmaninov, Sibelius and Chopin, Bach and Handel, Broadway shows and Celtic / Gaelic folk rock (quite a crowd – not much sleep at nights though !). Otherwise a lover of peace and calm not loud clubs.

I’m separated and looking to begin again, taking it gently getting back to enjoying good friends and funny, perceptive conversation and letting fate see where it leads. If you think life is precious, that its fun to experience it and others as they are, that there’s no time to be lost in finding some fulfilment, that there is more to being alive than just earning a living, if any of this makes sense, it would be great to talk ....
 

I’m here because I want to start again, to make friends and share my interests and passions with others and see where it all leads.

You’ll be looking for someone to smile with and be happy. You’ll enjoy talking to and getting to know people, be interested in what makes people tick. You’ll enjoy taking time with people you care about. You’ll be secure and happy to be alone from time to time, to do things because you like them but you’ll really enjoy them more for sharing the pleasures of doing them with someone else who laughs and smiles with you.

Like me you’re looking for good conversation, warm company, a lively sense of humour and genuine sincerity. You’ll enjoy fun country walks, candle-lit fireside supper evenings in, and a convivial night out at the theatre with dinner for the simple fun of it.

You’ll be the sort of person who likes to say yes, creative, who thinks life can be so much more if two people spark off each other to make things, and to make them better. If you’d like to make a new friend and see if it leads somewhere I’d love to say hello too.
