Parity (30) from central London
I value my open-mindedness above all my other qualities. I enjoy laughing 'til I can't breath, inflicting the same sensation on others, real conversations with smart people and friendly debate.
I'm told that I am kind, a good listener and funny. I know that I'm honest and fair. However, these are really the kind of things you'd have to verify for yourself.
Being in pubs, bars and clubs sometimes makes me very happy, being in a green, sunny place always does. I like to play games.
There's more, obviously. If piqued describes your state of interest, send me a message.
I want to meet intelligent, open-minded women for friendship, a relationship, or something in between. It really doesn't matter, as long as we both enjoy ourselves. Beyond that, I have no expectations.
About me
I'm 30 years old and come from central London in the United Kingdom. I'm single with no kids. I'm 5' 10" tall and I have an athletic build. I don't smoke and I drink occasionally. I'm here for dating, friendship and hobbies and interests.
My detailed facts
My hobbies and interests
Cooking
My favourite dish to cook is fillet steak with home-made chili chips and pan-fried cherry tomatoes. This tells you very little about me, but something apparently had to go in this box...
Shopping
Only when strictly necessary for myself. More stuff doesn't equal more happiness.
DIY
I get what needs to be done, done. I don't go looking for projects though.
Housework
My immediate environment affects my state of mind, when it's tidy, I'm happier.
Dining out
I'm a big fan of Sushi, I also enjoy a good Indian, Mexican, French or Thai. There's really nothing I don't like.
Movies
Off the top of my head, movies I've enjoyed include; Dan in Real Life, Hable con ella, Todo sobre mi madre, Kill Bill, Sin City, The Machinist, Fight Club, The Matrix, Wall-E, Requiem for a Dream, Amelie, Little Miss Sunshine and Waking Life.
Theatre
Not something I indulge in very often. The last thing I saw was Pinter's People, before that Woman in White.
Music
Rock, Pop, Country, Synth, Jazz, Reggae, Blues, Dance, Orchestral... really, anything with talent behind it. Favourite artists include; Ani Difranco, Pitchshifter, Cut Copy, Calvin Harris, Manu Chao, Penguin Cafe Orchestra, Ladyhawke, La Roux, Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys, The Prodigy, Kings of Leon, CSS.
Gigs
Last act I saw was CSS, and they were fantastic. small, intimate venues with acoustic bands can also be very enjoyable, but sometimes only hard rock and a good mosh will hit the spot.
Pubs
I have a lot of fun when I go drinking with the right people, but I don't like to do it very often.
Clubbing
Anywhere with more than one room, I like Scala in Kings Cross.
Newspapers and magazines
The Independent, The Guardian or The Times if they're around.
Books
Currently reading Jude the Obscure, have recently been reading a fair bit of Iain Banks (and Iain M Banks) and Ian McEwan. The works of Douglas Adams, Richard Dawkins and JK Rowling have all entertained me. I read quite a lot of non-fiction; science, maths and poker books.
TV
Firefly, Everybody Hates Chris, Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, Lost, Two and a Half Men, BNTM (despite myself), Fringe. I can't really watch reality TV shows where the participants have no discernible talent. It hurts my brain too much.
Watching sport
I watch the athletics when it's on, but I'm not a football fan. I can see what the fuss is about, but picking a team to support and then doing so all seems a bit arbitrary, absurd and divisive. pass.
Playing sport
All-terrain boarding, frisbee, volleyball and rock-climbing.
Hobbies
I really enjoy playing board and card games. This is neither strange nor unique. You'll have to ask if you want to hear about that stuff.
