pajamapaati (58) from Berkshire
Humourless joyless unfriendly useless philistine. What more could you want?
But seriously(?) ...
I'm coming out of a relationship that gradually stopped working over the last few years, looking for new friendships and loves (anything from a one-night stand to someone to share the four last songs with).
I love thinking and playing with words and ideas, and people who do so too.
I'm a 'skeptic' - one who tries to think about things rather than taking them on faith.
I love music from Mediaeval to modern, field and street to concert hall, acoustic, electric, classical, popular, world ... easier to say what I don't like. (Unfortunately I can't play a note myself!)
I like cinema (art-house more than mainstream), books (e.g. Murdoch, McCall Smith, LeGuinn, Moorcock, Pratchett, Pullman, Lodge, Adams, Hornby), Non-fiction: Atheists' Guide, Dawkins, Bad Science, some TV, visual arts ....
For a living I work with my hands, brain and a White Van, get knackered and don't make enough money at it.
For a (lurve :-)) partner someone:
- who wants rather than needs a partner themselves, to complement each other rather filling in aching voids in each other's miserable existences!
- who enjoys and is stimulated by intelligent questions rather than having all the answers.
- for whom the world and universe is amazing enough as it is without imagining fairies at the bottom of the garden or old men with long beards crawling about above the clouds
- for whom life would not be complete without either science or art, engineering or craft
- for whom sex is just this really nice thing that one can do. And even nicer when two do it together :-)
