About me

I am a Palliative Care Nurse, having qualified late (last year!) and achieved a lifelong ambition. I am still learning so much on a daily basis, working in local hospice teaches me as much about myself as those I care for. It is by far a much more positive an environment than you would probably imagine. It was one of the ticks on my 'Things I Most Want To Do' list so I'm feeling pretty content with my lot right now.

I would describe myself as spiritual but also balanced, bubbly, caring, entertaining...others have described me as quite mad, but in a good way! I quite like the me I have become. I have a very dry wit and love to 'banter' with others on the same wavelength.

I cannot bear being lied to. So please dont.

I love the sea, am at my happiest when walking on a sandy beach even in winter. Maybe thats the Aquarian in me - or the fact I spent my first few years living on the East coast. My teens were spent in York but I have now lived in Surrey for the last 10 years or so - the northen accent still leaks out from time to time!

I have a close relationship with my daughter who has been to uni, done the travelling thing. My father survived a stroke recently despite all the odds and now I realise its time to think about where I go now with my life - its hard to get used to being 'me' again. I'd love someone special to share this new and very exciting chapter of my life with. Want to travel, enjoy life and no plans to stay in Surrey forever; have car, have qualification - can travel!

In May 2007 I am going on my first 'solo' trip, a holiday to Umbria, meditation, breathing and relaxation in the Italian hills. Ask me about it!

About you

Hard to define what attracts me. Razor sharp wit essential, daftness optional.I love men with grey hair, no hair, hairy forearms (No I don't know why!) I'm looking for a twinkle in the eye - that spark and chemistry has to be there, something that cannot be defined or bottled (perhaps you have it?) A nice smile attracts me too, a kissable mouth would be the icing on the cake. I'm a great kisser, apparently!

Having lived in Australia in my early 20's, I realise theres a lot of world out there still to be explored before I need a booster battery on my bathchair. Europe especially - done a lot of long haul travel over the years but love to see how others live. I'm not materialistic, I'm an honest, 'what you see is what you get' person, so would appreciate this being reciprocated.

The most important thing is finding someone like me who has lived, loved and learned a lot about themselves along the way.....and who is now ready for a relationship. Is that you?
