About me
This is the hard bit, what do you say?? Well as I like people to be honest with me, maybe I should just describe myself as honestly as I can.
I speak my mind, but am also kind and considerate.
Love to travel, meet people and am most happiest in company, but can also be content on my own.
Love walking, cinema, ten pin bowling (but am pants at it) Dancing (Modern Jive, salsa, latin american and ballroom) and have a growing interest in photography.
I make most, if not all of my own cards for Birthdays etc.
Would love to turn some of the stories I wrote for my children into books, but never seemed to have got round to it.
I have a zany sense of humour, but can also be serious when required. I love cooking and now have a renewed interest in cleaning the house since I bought my new Vax.
Oh.. and I have a chainsaw!! I have a real fire and make the most of any wood I can get my hands on.
Its also official that I am pooh stick champion *NB no tree suffers for the sport all 'pooh's' have already fallen from the tree, therefore feel no pain, those not used in the sport are burned on my..... disposed of in a humane manner.
***************************************************
After a while you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a soul
And you learn that love doesn’t mean leaning
And company doesn’t mean security
And you begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts
And presents aren’t promises
And you begin to accept your defeats
With your head up and your eyes open
And with the grace of an adult, not the grief of a child
And you learn to build all your roads on today
Because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for your plans
After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much
So plant your own garden and decorate your own soul
Instead of waiting for others to bring you flowers
And you will learn that you really can endure
That you really are special
And that you really do have worth
So live to learn and know yourself
In doing so, you will learn to live.
About you
Someone who would share some or all of my interests and allow me to join in with theirs (as long as it is not skuba diving off a dredger).
Live within a 50ish mile radius (not completeley ruling out distance for the right person, but having had a long distance relationship I realise that it can mean long separations and that is not the best way to get to know someone in my opinion)
I would also prefer that he were a similar age to me, but again not ruling out anyone younger or older.
Must be able to kick leaves in the air, go puddle bashing, play pooh sticks and act their shoes size occasionally.
If you want a chat, drop me a line. I promise to reply to all messages.
If you would like to meet up for a chat and a cuppa ask me!! a 'meet' does not constitute a date so you will be under no obligation. Or if you are attending one of the arranged meets from MSE and you see me come over and say hi!
I do hope to have a special man in my life one day, but for now i am doing a 'diana ross' and 'still waiting'
