About me

I have lived an exciting and varied life. Six fabulous children have been my passion, all now grown and flown in one way or another. My eldest son lives nearby. He has severe learning disabilities and will always need his Mum to be part of his life. However, I no longer live with him and am building a new life of my own after becoming isolated as his sole carer for many years.
I have lived in Malta, Australia, Indonesia and Costa Rica. I love to travel and hope to do much more as circumstances allow. A big ambition for many years has been to visit Tibet and it would be great to find someone special to share that trip with. I had a great trip to Australia in February 2008.
I am reasonably intelligent with a high IQ but limited formal education. I am fascinated by spirituality and quantum theory, the links between the two and the scientific research that is going on around these subjects. A favourite film is ‘What The Bleep Do We Know?’ and I recently read ‘The Field’ by Lynne McTaggart. Reconnective Healing has become an important aspect of my life during the last two years as it created a profound shift in my health and wellbeing. I am now a practitioner.
People regard me as a strong person and I must have inner strengths to have coped with and enjoyed being a single parent for many years. I can also feel vulnerable and shy and have not had a lot of social interaction.
I enjoy a swim three times a week (a great way to start the day) and have a subscription to the local gym that I haven’t quite got into the habit of using. I love to go walking and am looking for a companion and friends to walk with. I’ve also enjoyed boating in the past and had my own boat on the canals for about ten years until my crew grew up and left home!
I am caring and loving and view my cup as being more than half full for which I am grateful. I feel life to be wonderful and exciting. I'm an adventurous person and still want a lot more out of life. Mostly I am positive and optimistic and I am looking forward to the next half of my life and hope to share it with someone special.

I think I would like to find someone special to share my life with but realize that an essential element of that is friendship so am very happy to start there and see where it leads.
