Hello! Originally from Essex, i'm a quiet chap who likes to be the centre of attention. I like all sorts of sports but I'm no good at any of them.

I want to change my life around, I want to get out and enjoy the world and share my experiences with someone special.

My favourite place is Austria, it's beautiful whatever the weather. I love mountains. In the summer you can drive them and in the winter you can ski them!

I'm an unusual person but I have a lot of great friends who seem to think I'm alright. I enjoy a good meal out as much as a quiet night in, but even better would be some kind of adventure or something I'd not done before!

I'm very shy around women and I've missed out on a lot because of it. I want to open up, I want to meet someone special and I want to share my experiences with someone. If this all sounds too soppy then I'm sorry but I'm just not a "bad guy".
It doesn't come easily to me and that's why I'm here. If you can forgive that, please get in touch :)

I'm looking for someone to confide in, share my thoughts and feelings with. Someone who will let me be. Someone I can hold hands with, talk through the night, long walks or just a night in on the sofa with a good movie. All the things i'm supposed to have done by now but haven't!

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	I love to cook although I have to say I've been a bit lazy of late and seem to have run out of inspiration. Most of my meals seem to revolve around "stuff with meat" but it tastes good to me! I love Mexican food, Indian food and good ol' English roasts.
Shopping	I'm not much of a shopper. I tend to think of something I need and then go out and get it. I usually browse the internet for ideas.
DIY	I can pretty much build anything I set my mind to... but then I'm an Engineer so I'll most likely take it apart again afterwards.
Housework	Houseproud and homely I guess. I don't like mess, although mess does seem to like me. I like to keep a tidy room and flat.
Dining out	I do... as long as I have someone to eat with, nothing worse than going out to a restaurant on your own :o(
Movies	I love movies, I try to go as often as possible and tend to watch everything I like the look of, or that other people have recommended. I love to go to the cinema but only for films that I think really benefit from the experience. It's sometimes nice to just be absorbed into a film with no distractions at home.
Theatre	Not really been that much, but it's certainly not something I dislike.
Music	I can't play any instruments but life without music would be dull.
Gigs	I love live music but I don't like crowds. I tend to try to find somewhere with seats or a nice big open space at the back next to a speaker to truly absorb the sounds.
Pubs	Pubs and bars... yes as long as I can hear the other person speak, otherwise i'd rather chat somewhere else so that I can listen to what you have to say.
Clubbing	If the mood takes me, I'm an unstoppable force of dance but it's rather rare that I'll be there in the first place. Tends to be dependant on whether I've had a vodka red-bull at some point and the DJ likes The Prodigy.
Newspapers and magazines	Car magazines on occasion, we tend to have a lot of them at work.
Books	Ashamed to say I've never been bitted by the bookworm bug.
TV	I have a few select programmes I watch / download but there's certainly more I don't watch, and wouldn't want to.
Watching sport	F1 only really. I'd rather be doing it than sitting watching other people!
Playing sport	Seasonal I suppose. In the summer I skate, cycle, swim, run, gym, climb but I tend to go into hibernation in the winter!
Hobbies	Nothing mad, I love my cars and I'm a pretty good ice skater I suppose!

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	I have no idea, I'd like to see where life takes me in the next few years I think!
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	I'm not really into celebrities so I think I'd like to invite a couple of my grandparents because I never got to meet them. I'd love to know who and where I came from. The third...how about Gary Oldman? Simply one of the best actors of our time and someone I'd really like to meet.
My ideal date	Waking up in the beautiful mountains around Zell-Am-See in Austria, a quick, early breakfast and a day of adventure finishing with a fantastic meal and a long, long cuddle under the stars.
What would I never, ever give up?	Driving. There's nothing I love more right now and it would be the end of who I am.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Wow... a speech? Right now? I'm honoured but I've not prepared anything! Can I come back to you on that one?
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	Damn... anywhere in the world (I'd like to visit Saturn's moon, Titan) Currently one place I'd love to go is Japan, it looks so beautiful and unusual it just really intrigues me.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	Cancer research, just because my family have been recently touched by it as well as a long time ago before I was born.
My "and finally" section ...	Just that I'm pretty inexperienced and would like to take things slow. There's nothing wrong with me, I've just been busy with other things and cripplingly shy!
