mots01 Female (52) from the West Midlands

I'm an honest and trustworthy person who is thoughtful and generous by nature. I work as a samples assistant, seeing to the needs of the sales reps. I am now reconciled with my husband and things are going pretty well but I am still looking to forge new friendships with like minded people and continue the friendships I have made.

Words of Encouragement.

Do not lose sight of the person you have become with wisdom,
It is the knowledge of that wisdom that will help you through,
Life takes us down so many different unexpected paths,
Follow the path that is true to you,
I am not saying it will be easy,
There will be times when you will feel in total despair,
But always remember that there are people who care,
Don't be afraid to reach out when you need loving arms to enfold you,
And encourage you to move on with dignity and pride,
Were told there is always something around the corner,
Let the people who love you guide you there,
They may not always be right but their intentions are true,
That special person is out there somewhere,
Where two hearts and minds come together as one,
True love is selfless, dedicated and given freely,
Don't let fear and self doubt encroach on your thoughts,
Take strength and courage will guide you through,
When the nights seem long and empty,
Draw on your strength within to fill the emptiness with positive thoughts,
Don't let the darkness engulf you or your faith in others,
Allow yourself to reach out and grasp the happiness you deserve,
No matter how difficult life becomes,
Hold on to your faith and beliefs.

Children of War.

Countries severed by the evil of war,
Children searching for parents who are no more,
A look of fear reflected in their eyes,
Stumbling across parents who have died,
Horrendous scenes no child should have to see,
Tear stained faces of terror as they flee,
The stench of smoke and blast of shellfire,
Illness and starvation making them tire,
Trembling alone their cries go unheard,
As the enemy march by undeterred,
The coldness of night,
No shelter to find,
No arms to encase them of the loving kind,
They sit huddled,
With arms wrapped tightly around bent knees,
As the pain of their loss they begin to grieve,
Sobs of desolation fill the air,
The nightmares to vivid to bear,
Innocence of children in a war they do not understand,
Or as to why the lush green fields have become bloodied lands.

The Vagrant

Sitting with coiled arms around bent knees,
Sadness mirrored in his eyes, of which no-one can see.
Sparsely tattered clothes and a dirty face,
Other people pass, with a disdainful look of disgrace.
From the chilly winds of winter there is nowhere to hide,
No loving mother to act as his guide.
He holds out a shaky hand, turned blue from the cold,
People stare, tut and mutter a scold.
Should we not ask ourselves, why is he there?
What has driven this young man to such despair,
Was his home life too terrible to bear?
The pain so deep he no longer cared.
Destined for a life out in the cold,
No job, no money and no-one to hold.

A Sailors Passing

The gentle waters lap the windward shore,
Echoing a rhythmic dulcet chord,
Inwardly drifting sea meadows,
Lovingly caress the golden sands,
As the moons rays glisten upon the silvery waters,
Casting shadows of ghostly sailors adrift,
The spirits of the seafarers rise from the ocean depths,
Once lost among the plateaus of the sea,
Their souls twisting and turning like a serpentine,
Riding upon the gentle breeze toward the skyline,
Ascending from the grasp of their watery graves,
No longer the vast oceans drifting slaves.

The Countryside

The gentle flurry of the summer evening breeze,
Creates a warmth of natural grace,
Stirring the deep lustrous green grass of the meadows.

Echoing ripples of the stream whisper in the distance,
Trickling gracefully on its journey,
Chanting a blissful lullaby.

The engaging melody of our feathered friends,
Warble an evening serenade,
Their dulcet tones pleasing to the ear.

The twilight mist in the meadows cowers,
Slithering inch by inch forming a white shroud,
Obscuring the deep rich red of the summer poppies.

Moonlight transcends upon the tree tops,
While shadows dance in alliance with the summer breeze,
Casting a veil of memorable beauty on the horizon.

Nightfall descends upon the beauty of the countryside,
The darkness enveloping the surrounding array of summer colours,
Now everything slumbers until the rising of the new morn.

A Hidden Tale

The innocence of a childs dreams long gone,
Black clouds formed and the sun no longer shone,
Bitter memories of her childhood past,
Opaque shadows across her mind are cast,
Somber demons from a long time ago,
Turmoil too deep for them to show,
The evil shadows she tries hard to fight,
Brandishing them away with all her might,
Only time can consume the hurt and the pain,
As her life she begins to rebuild again,
In the early light of the coming dawn,
Her inner sadness she will mourn,
As a peaceful tranquility at last she can embrace,
As hidden in these words a tale can be traced.

Words of wisdom

No matter what work throws at you,
Stay resolute in your believes,
You have a vision for the future,
Strive for the goals you have set,
The road your travelling will not be easy,
But your grit and determination will see you through,
Bask in the knowledge that others share those beliefs,
And are prepared to travel along that same road,
Every little step taken forward,
Will, bring you nearer to that vision,
Don't let the problems wear you down,
Draw on your inner strength and rise above them,
If others make you doubt yourself,
Listen to your own inner voice,
Always be true to yourself and others,
This will win you the respect you deserve,
Hold on to the vision that inspired you,
It is, and will be within your grasp.

Solitary Christmas

Christmas is here, alas once more,
Festival preparations she cannot ignore,
As she totters forward on unsteady legs,
To the window, the sound of christmas begs.
Carols magically float through the air,
Children gleefully running without a care,
Excitment and anticipation on everyones face,
Except on hers there is no trace.
From behind the curtain she falteringly peeps,
As her aged eyes begin to weep,
A sad wrinkled face full of despair,
Nobody to talk to, no-one to care.
Without a christmas tree to sit around,
No trace of christmas can be found,
Brightly wrapped gifts, none to give or recieve,
Only the lonliness upon this christmas eve,
Her weathered face a mirror of pain,
Another year ahead on her own again.

Born to Die- Mei Ming

So many Mei Mings which means " no name ",
The government have to accept the blame,
A country with a one child only law,
An action the west can only deplore,
Born a girl, discarded and left to die,
Abandonment, confusion reflected in their eyes,
No loving caresses, comfort, food or care,
Huddled in a room so blatantly bare,
Women expecting a second child,
Taken away their wombs defiled,
Sterilised, helpless, nothing they can do,
A change in law long overdue,
So many little souls left to die in pain,
Grasping at life surely in vain,
Carers choose to ignore the
Due to the change in circumstances, I am now just looking to make friendships with like minded people male or female.
