I am a happy, cheerful, smiley, positive person. I'm concerned with the future, rather than the past. You won't hear me moaning at length about past relationships, and how awful people, and life, have been to me. My life is good - there are many more people in the world facing challenges I can only imagine, so I feel grateful for what I have! ;-)

I love the theatre, arts and crafts, cooking, eating out, trips to the cinema, and to travel, when the purse strings allow. As I write this, I'm still buzzing from a recent Peter Kay concert...

Whilst I enjoy a varied social life, I have fairly simple tastes - I enjoy nothing more than tramping round the woods, or a stroll along the prom, or simply sitting around at home, chatting, or sharing a quiet moment, and just enjoying each others company.

I'm hoping to find a partner, lover and best friend. I am not looking for a cyber relationship. My online presence is fleeting - I live in the real world and that's where I conduct my life and my relationships - I prefer face to face contact. I aim to move on to telephone chat and meeting in person fairly quickly after making contact online. We will only find out if we are compatable, by meeting in person and getting to know each other.

I value conversation and communication – I don’t see how any relationship can survive without it. For me, honesty, trust, communication and mutual respect is an absolute must in any future partnership.

Is there a genuine, straight forward, honest, intelligent, supportive, caring, lovely guy out there who has the courage to take a chance on me? If that's you, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Since none of us can predict who we'll fall in love with, I'm not keen to concoct a long list of do's; don'ts; must have's; you have got to be kidding...etc.

I am aiming for a relationship which has the potential for a long term future, not short term gratification. I'm hoping to find someone who is looking for a lifelong partnership, who isn't going to run at the first sign of complications, sharing both the rough and the smooth. Relationships can only survive through effort on both sides...give and take on both sides...compromise on both sides...

I'm not looking for someone I can live with - I'm looking for someone I can't live without. I'm hoping someone will chance along who is ready, able and willing to shake off their past, and look forward to a happy, loving and caring future with me!
