You will seldom see me without a smile on my face. If things ever get me down, I won't allow them to get me down for very long. We have one body, one life and usually only one attempt at getting things right. Do what you can with what you've got and always remember that there are others far worse off.

I'm a thoroughly decent person. I'm not vindictive and would rather not give an opinion if I feel it would hurt someone's feelings.

I set high standards for myself but am a very private person. I am not loud or brash.

I am intelligent, opinionated and cultured having travelled widely. I have time for everyone but will not suffer fools. I am willing to see the other side of an argument but will not be intimidated into thinking that my side is worthless.

I'm utterly loyal to the point of obstinacy but have me in your corner and you will have a friend and advocate for life.

I now have four grandchildren after a recent addition to the family.

If I can help somebody as I pass along then my living will not be in vain.

I did not join this site to make new friends, I have quite enough and they are loyal and true.

I joined because I would have liked to have met a gentleman like myself, not an attention seeker but just a quiet living, kind, family oriented person, a lover of nature and our planet and a devotee of literature and the arts.

I remain here because I am a paid up member but sometimes I don't log in for ages.
