My hobbies and interests

Cooking	I tend to like stir fry style dishes, lots of veg and seasoning.
Shopping	Shopping is a chore!
DIY	I'm reasonably handy when it comes to DIY. There aren't many basic jobs I can't do.
Housework	I'm somewhere inbetween. As it is just me I'm more flexible, but if I was living with someone I would definitely be more considerate!
Dining out	I enjoy the "basics" such as Chinese and Indian, and will try most things.
Movies	I go to the movies occasionally.
Theatre	I have been to quite a few shows but not recently. My first show was Miss Saigon, a show I have seen twice. I don't get to go as often as I would like.

Gigs	I used to go to gigs on a fairly regular basis but haven't been for a while.
Pubs	I like places where I can chat with friends.
Clubbing	Not really into clubbing much nowadays

TV	I tend to have the TV on in the background when I am doing other things, apart from good movies.
Watching sport	I watch football (yeah, I know!) but I don't just watch all football, just the team I follow.
Playing sport	I do a lot of walking, and some cycling (when there are gaps between the clouds - cycling in the rain just isn't fun!)
Hobbies	I enjoy "logistic" type games where you have to think logically to plan something or achieve something.

My hopes and dreams

My ideal date	My ideal date would be with someone I found very interesting - the location wouldn't matter.
What would I never, ever give up?	My family. I really enjoy the time I spend with my family, whether it is my parents or my nephew and niece.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	The breakdown in society in some quarters.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	I would love to visit Australia and New Zealand (and plan to one day). Time wise, I think I would enjoy the days of the Charlston - decadent but without the worry of the war.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	I would give to children and cancer.
