I'm a single mum to two. Aged 45, I love - my children, books, music, swimming, and curling up in bed with a hot chocolate and my Sudoku! I like conversations, connections, meeting new people and broadening my horizons. I love to travel to new places but fund don't allow that to happen nearly as often as I'd like.

I like to surf, debate, take photographs and do something a little "arty", whether that's doing up the house or playing around with creating something in Photoshop or just some knitting.

I still feel the urge to learn new things - subjects, night classes, new outlooks, different ways of looking at life.

 

I've been too focussed on being a mum and I think risk stagnating in what has become my comfort zone. I'd like to meet new people with a view to exploring new things; activites, ideas, views etc. I'd like to have people close enough physically and emotionally to have them drop by and sit around my table drinking pots of tea and setting the world to rights. Ours or the bigger one! I guess I'd like to share with others the energy of a kind of "hey lets get up off our backsides and try X" kind of mentality.

I don't believe that grabbing a guy is going to change my world (or theirs!) nor deliver myself from a lonely old age. So that's not really what I'm looking for.
