My hobbies and interests

Cooking	I love cooking with simple high quality ingredients; Traditional British, Indian and Mediterranean are particular favourites.
Shopping	I enjoy food shopping, but only go clothes shopping when I absolutely have to. Not keen on shopping centres, preferring to browse markets.
DIY	Used to do all my own decorating and was a dab hand at papering, but prefer to pay someone else to do it these days... unless you enjoy it, then please feel free!
Housework	My home is clean, neat and tidy, but lived in. I am house proud but not obsessively so. I don't like ironing and will only iron things that absolutely need it.
Dining out	I enjoy dining out in quiet country pubs and restaurants. I will try most things once.
Movies	Haven't been to the pictures in years... not a huge film buff.
Theatre	I have been known to tread the boards in my time having been involved in amateur dramatics, and I occasionally go to the theatre, but not often.
Music	My music tastes are varied from classical to pop.
Gigs	Don't go to concerts.
Pubs	A quiet drink with a pub lunch is fine, but not one for regularly going to the pub and never have been.
Clubbing	Definitely not!
Newspapers and magazines	Don't buy newspapers or magazines. Read the news on BBC24 teletext or online.
Books	Tend to read biographies, and factual books that teach me something, rather than novels... unless the plot grips me.
TV	Don't watch a lot of TV, but when I do it's usually, factual programmes and documentaries. Though I do indulge in "Escape To The Country" and "Relocation" and some cookery and gardening programmes.
Watching sport	Not a sports fan
Playing sport	Have never been sporty.
Hobbies	I make and sell costume jewellery.

My hopes and dreams

My ideal date	If I lived in London... which I don't; afternoon tea at The Conservatory at the Lanesborough Hotel on Hide Park corner.
What would I never, ever give up?	Breathing... obvious really! But you could try to take my breath away.... ;-)
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	The lifelong commitment of taking on a cute little puppy. A dog is for life, it's a member of your family, not something to be discarded when you have a baby or get tired of looking after it.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	I'd love to see The Northern Lights.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	I'd divide it between various animal charities.
