When the buspass has arrived you realise it's a time for reflection and to put the remaining years into perspective and prioritize them. As the rolercoaster of work/career disappears over the horizon (thank heavens!) one's mind can be focused on what's really important such as family and friends, hobbies and travel.
The seaside and coastal walks either at home or abroad have always held a special place on my 'must do'list as do historic sites around the UK and Europe. Characteristic oldie-worldie, rambling hotels with nooks and crannies, leather sofas and open fires are a true delight - especially when sharing the experience.
Literature, motorbikes and scooters, light classical music, quiet pubs, board games, photography, long train journies and the occasional football match are also activities that give me pleasure. Excessive tv, (epecially reality tv) computer dependence, noisy shops and pubs, traffic jams and crowded town centres full of shopaholics do not.
So... would-be soul mate if you're into the former and hate the latter then please get in touch.
A baby-boomer gal with no baggage who like Beatles, bikes and Bach, solvent, reasonably tall and also wishing to embark on a voyage of discovery with me (not necessarily on the back of a scooter!)
