I've been on my own for a few years now, my kids are grown up and I would like to spread my wings a bit and make some new friends.

I was a medical artist for 11 years and I have also taught English in various countries including the UK. In my present job I'm lucky to be able to use my art skills but I also always enjoy drawing anything and everything. I am in the process of building my own website to try and ease myself out of paid employment!

I've lived and worked in quite a few countries and have had some great adventures. I'm hoping to do more of that soon. Trouble is I seem to be getting a new grandchild every year at the moment, and those little cuddles are hard to leave ....

I would describe myself as reasonably intelligent, slightly (and happily) unconventional, independent, artistic, loyal and good-natured. I enjoy art, music, history, travel, being on the water and aimless walking with beautiful views.

I'm not sure really. Making new friends, travel, new adventures. I thrive on change and new challenges.

I am quite happy on my own and value my independence, but it would be nice to meet someone who would want to share some things with me, but not to take over my life.

Time will tell.
