Is anyone going on the Southampton Pub Meet??

Hi, I'm 45 years old, single, brown eyes, 5'9" and medium build. Reason for advertising on this site, is to hopefully meet people of similar age and interests. Who knows, maybe my soulmate. I'm a converted southerner, lived in Hants now for about 15 years, originally from North Wales (we're not all that bad!!!). Hobbies and interests include, travel (a love of South Africa), going to the theatre/cinema, walking, skiing and bowling. I don't smoke and enjoy the odd glass of red wine, but I do not have a drink problem!!!

Someone with a good sense of humour. Hopefully of similar age and interests. Who knows, maybe my soulmate eventually. Looking for friendship and hopefully a relationship, if everything works out.

Cooking	Yes, a bloke who enjoys cooking. Or is it an excuse for the chef to have a glass of wine :-)
Shopping	Sorry....only when necessary and knowing exactly what is wanted.
DIY	Can get by.
Housework	A necessity, but probably done more so, when expecting visitors.
Dining out	Especially in the right company. Love Italian, Chinese and Indian....anything but fish.
Movies	Definitely. Films are always better on the big screen.
Theatre	One of my favourite interests.By preference, I would tend to choose any of the Musicals.
Music	Wide and varied, forever changing subject to the mood and company.
Gigs	Cannot be beaten for the live atmosphere.
Pubs	Enjoyable when in good company.
Clubbing	In a previous life.
Newspapers and magazines	Part of the sunday morning ritual.
Books	I enjoy reading, but probably do more reading when on holiday
TV	I can take it or leave. Tend to favour thrillers, or anything that is thought provoking and keeps you interested.
Watching sport	I'm a bloke, so yes.
Playing sport	A social golfer. Also, recently completed the PADI diving qualification, which was something else to tick off the list.
Hobbies	Most have been covered above.

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	Settled and enjoying life with my soul mate (when I find her).
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	3 is not enough. James Martin for the cooking. Stephen Fry, for the chat and debate. Princess Diana, to find out what happened in Paris that night.Dave Allen for the comedy and my soul mate (again, when I find her).
My ideal date	Having a love of South Africa, it would have to be in any of the cafe bars at the Waterfront in Cape Town.
What would I never, ever give up?	Family and friends. This goes without saying.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Can I think about that.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	Probably at any game reserve, being surrounded by animals in their natural environment.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	Would be split equally between the Heart Foundation and Multiple Sclerosis.
