My hobbies and interests

Cooking	I enjoy cooking but don't very often get the time to take it seriously. Would love to linger in the kitchen with a bottle of wine and share cooking a special meal with a special someone. I love chicken, fish and stir-fries. Thai, Indian and Mexican are my favourites
Shopping	I loooove shopping - especially window-shopping in the likes of Harrods or Harvey Nicks. I just love to keep up to date with the latest trends (doesn't mean I have to agree with them tho') and enjoy shopping for others as well as myself. Keep telling my friends I could gladly be a personal shopper any day, queues don't bother me at all !!!
DIY	I feel very proud of myself that I have been able to build furniture that I bought from Ikea :) Wish I knew how to put shelves on a wall tho' or how you fix curtain rails or put blinds up - that is when you need a guy !
Housework	I am very houseproud and like to have a nice minimal look, don't like masses of photos or pictures hanging around. I like to keep up with housework and really hate seeing dishes around the kitchen, would much rather wash them as I go along. Love to keep my house nice.
Dining out	I love to eat out, Indian, Chinese, Pizza, Thai, Mexican, Italian, they all get my vote depending on my mood. Not adverse to the good old pub grub either.
Movies	I admit that I have to really psych myself up to sit in the cinema or to sit still and watch a movie at home. Having said that if it is a film that I really want to see then there is no problem. I just cannot just switch the TV on in the middle of a film and carry on watching it. I prefer when a film is on ITV so that there is a break to get up and do stuff in between.
Theatre	Again if it is something I really want to see then I love to get dressed up and make a real occasion of it with a meal before and a few drinks afterwards.
Music	Sorry but I still love a bop to the disco sounds ! I like Madonna, the Wets, Jason Mraz, Jools Holland, I like Classical to relax, Gospel choirs for uplifts, I enjoy all types except Country and Western, heavy rock and anything weird.
Gigs	I like live music, the louder the better !
Pubs	Love going to pubs, the local or a nice drive and find somewhere new.
Clubbing	I would still like to go to a club once in a blue moon and do enjoy a good boogie :)
Newspapers and magazines	I like to chill with a good Sunday paper but don't get much time through the week. Not an essential part of my day.
Books	I have to really force myself to pick up a book but when I do I enjoy the escapism. I like a good old romance with a bit of adventure in LA or somewhere but NOT Jackie Collins thankyou ! Catherine Alliott is my fave, romance but witty.
TV	I love any of the travel programmes, cookery programmes and I only remain faithful to Coronation Street. I love Britain's Got Talent and the Apprentice.
Watching sport	I enjoy watching rugby, and adore the tennis, but usually only get to watch Wimbledon not the other tournaments. Not that struck on watching football unless it is a grand final of some description.
Playing sport	I used to like playing tennis but again don't really have much time to indulge in any.
Hobbies	One of my favourite pastimes is driving, unusual for a lady ?!?! Would love to learn Salsa dancing and as said previously I love to wander around the shops. I enjoy exploring new areas and travel to nice warm countries.

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	I hope to still be living around the area I now live in but with a few more friends and time to relax and enjoy my surroundings. I hope to have progressed more in my work and have more time to treat myself to a few luxuries.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	Madonna, Karen Carpenter and Joan Rivers !
My ideal date	Cocktails in town followed by a nice relaxed meal and then a stroll along the river or beach.
What would I never, ever give up?	My travel bug ! Could not imagine never exploring the world.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Travel !
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	Great Barrier Reef - a dream I have had since I first looked at a World Atlas.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	Needy children in Africa - visited Gambia a few years ago and those kids have absolutely nothing, not even shoes to wear but they just smile and sing constantly. Gave me a different opinion of life but would still love to donate a new school or something similar.
