Lucidity Male (60) from Cumbria

Have done all the usual things, wrestled crocodiles, cycled backwards down Everest, discovered a cure for an unkown disease and taught Plato philosophy.

The shape of a kiss

brings to mind, the subtle
shape shifting sensations
of the transiently blind.

The taste of a kiss,
dream filled bliss.
Infinite and effortless,

breathless, heart stopping,
stomach shocking.
A world rocking trip

where lips meet lips
in a silent wish. Slip
sliding, stopping time.

Choose your shape and shine.

Hay rolled, sun drenched,
A heart’s desire quenched.

Fire and rain, rain and fire.

Snow

This is probably my fav poem

Snow

The room was suddenly rich and the great bay window was
Spawning snow and pink roses against it
Soundlessly collateral and incompatible:
World is suddener than we fancy it.

World is crazier and more of it than we think,
Incorrigbly plural. I peel and portion
A tangerine and spit the pips and feel
The drunkeness of things being various.

And the fire flames with a bubbling sound for world
Is more spiteful and gay than one supposes –
On the tongue on the eyes on the ears in the palm of one’s
hands –
There is more than glass between the snow and the huge
roses.

Louis MacNiece

"But what if the point of living isn't to be placid and happy and untouched by the world, but to be deeply, painfully sensitive to it, to see its cruelty and savagery for what they are, and accept all this as readily as we accept beauty? To feel the force of everything we see around us? To be touched by it,moved by it, hurt by it even, but not to be indifferent to it?" - John Simpson, news journalist.

Even though my profile says I have no children I do have a step son, 25 now, from my marriage, who's still very much a part of my life. I spent nine years in the RAF, fourteen years running my own business, now working for the public sector gets in the way of my reading and thinking and writing.

So should I wax lyrical about the inner essence of the lady of my dreams.

Or should I just tell the truth, that I'd like a woman who was sexy, with curves in all the right places who loved cats, books and all things cultured and hated football.LOL

I'll leave it up to you to decide. Oh and of course the wish list is just that, I am far from perfect so cannot expect it (and I'm sure would not want it) in return.
