Hi,
Well, here’s a first stab…I’m originally from Hertfordshire but moved up to Brum about a decade ago. And I like it. A lot!
I work in the charitable sector, running an organisation that gives young people new skills and fitness. It’s a great job, busy, with demanding hours but full of new challenges every day. And that’s part of the reason I’m here… aiming to adjust the work-life balance a bit, as they say.
I love the outdoors and can list walking and cycling amongst my interests, which contributes well to my passion for photography. Mainly landscapes, but I’ll have a go at anything.
I like socialising (who doesn’t?) and visiting pubs and restaurants. Bit of a real ale nut on the quiet (minus beard and really rather ordinary in that respect) and enjoy tasting new (and old) foods and wines.
Travel is another interest. Not ‘travel’ per se, but being there immersed in the culture, language and foods. I include all the great parts of Britain here too. My language skills usually create a laugh, (unintentionally) so whilst I’ll always try, it doesn’t always work out! (Perhaps again I should include parts of Britain here, without meaning any disrespect!)
I’m always keen to try new things (unless you suggest bungee jumping, in which case I’m sorry, but busy) and meeting new people, as well as participating more in the things I already enjoy.
Oh, and I’ve got absolutely no sense of humour whatsoever.
(Just kidding!)
Thanks for reading this far…….Cheers!
I’m hoping to meet some positive people with basic conversationalistic skills (is that a real word?). However, (if you haven’t gathered already) I can talk for the good ol’ UK if I need to, so don’t worry if you’re shy!
It’s great to meet all you lovely peeps ~ I hope to meet many more, make new friends and enjoy companionship, friendship and share a laugh with you all along the way. Who could ask for more?
Looking forward to meeting you...
