My hobbies and interests

Cooking	Cooking for me is very much a sign of caring for somebody.
Shopping	Hmmm - depends for what. Food shopping - no thanks! Fashion - hmmm oh yes !
DIY	disaster zone !
Housework	I do not believe or practice any specific gender-roles. I do what I have to do - and expect the same from my partner. Although, I can be very feminine and very traditional, but that also depends on "my man" and his attitude towards me.
Dining out	Love dining out, and experiencing new kind of food, different ways of preparing fish or meat. I love to discover how spices make a dish distinct, and how the ambiance influences the overall experience. When it comes to food, I eat pretty much anything - but I love it simple and healthy. Sushi and seafood is great, as well as a proper Bavarian pork roast or truly amazing pasta but with lots of sauce !
Movies	Oh yes I love movies. From world cinema to simplistic blockbusters - if it is interesting and/or funny, then it is a movie to watch! I am however a real pain in the neck in cinemas ! I love it comfortable, hate noise and people caughing next to me, and like to have a perfect view at the screen.....but eventually I calm down, no worries !
Theatre	Culture vulture - definitely !
Music	When it comes to music, I think I am odd. I do not like most of the mainstream music, as I like music to which I can dance. I also find the Bee Gees and ABBA pretty good as well as the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I also enjoy world music, for example, Miriam and Amando from Mali or Carabao from Thailand. I also love opera, and in particular all baritones, for example Dimitri Horozovski. I also listen to the Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Nicola Roberts, Skrillex, Armin van Buuren and Darude's Sandstorm !
Gigs	Depends - from time to time I enjoy a good gig.
Pubs	Depends on the pub and on the cider. But normally I do not drink, and I am not really into spending hours and hours sitting in a smelly pub.
Clubbing	I love to dance and with the right group of friends. I very much enjoy a good club or dance bar. But it does all depend on the music. If the music is right, then nothing stops me moving around !
Newspapers and magazines	I do love my Guardian ! But I firmly believe it is important to read all sorts (and the full scope) of newspapers and magazines to understand different opinions on an issue.
Books	Oh yes do love books very much - from good crime stories to factual reference books. Bookstores are my heaven and I can spend hours and hours in them !
TV	I do like to find a good programme on TV, especially a nice wildlife documentary or a really exciting thriller.
Watching sport	I very much enjoy doing sport, but watching it is not often my cup of tea. I guess it depends on the sport.
Playing sport	Love doing sport - from running, walking, swimming, rowing, diving, skiing, kayaking etc. I enjoy my gym and I can do very boring stuff for hours and hours, for example using the stepper or the cross trainer.
Hobbies	I very much enjoy travelling - I simply cannot imagine living life without seeing oher parts of this wonderful world. I love to meet new people, I love to see experiences which make me grow and develop as a person. And I very much like to try new things - last time I tried kite surfing and it was fun, but really hard work.

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	I would love to be in a cute cosy house, with a dog by the open fire, and with "my man" telling me stories, jokes or simply giving me a smile. I have worked many years abroad and did not have a place called "home" as such. So for me, I want to have a home - and the key to a home is the person who make this the focus of your life. A house without the soul in it - is empty. I definitely would like to be in a home with warmth, love, soul and your voice and your little habits, joint little dinners, movies, as well as lots of activ outdoors stuff. Simply, I would like to be on the good side of life.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	never ever thought about that !
My ideal date	It all depends on how you are, how I am, and what we both want.
What would I never, ever give up?	I would never ever give up the word "never".
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Hotels, Airlines, Airports, Trains, Cars and Taxis
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	The Amazon and Sumatra as well as .................oh so many more places !
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	It would be a charity in which the salaries of those programme officers and project managers are defined by tangible development results, and not well-written boring reports.
