Hi
I've found some one special. So I'm busy right now.

My hobbies and interests
Cooking
I have L-plates when in the kitchen. I eat and enjoy almost anything.
Shopping
Hate it. Online shopping for everything but suits, shoes and food suits me best. You are welcome to shop, but let me go somewhere else while you do it.
DIY
I can manage (I am an engineer after all) but it often pays to have a professional do it right.
Housework
Depends on the day of the week. I know how to give myself permission not to do washing up or dusting! I really enjoy ironing.
Dining out
I enjoy eating out or take away food. I am surrounded by places to eat - mainly italian, indian, chinese, or pizza without travelling but I enjoy the restaurants in the nearby city.
Movies
Action over romance if there's a choice. The Bourne series is top at the moment.
Theatre
It's like reading...I should do it more often. Comedy shows take me into theatres more than plays.
Music
See my profile ... I have seen so many live gigs in the last few years. Try and keep up. My musical taste is diverse.
Gigs
The louder the better. I tend to go for big name shows so find myself in Birmingham, Sheffield or Nottingham Arenas fairly regularly. Happy with festivals and wembley stadium / and am looking forward to the O2 in May. Small gig venues in Nottingham can also be great ... eg ska nights or Badly Drawn Boy at the Rescue Rooms
Pubs
I don't spend much time in pubs as I dont enjoy drinking for the sake of it. I'm happy to socialise but I would prefer a restaurant every time. I used to avoid the smoke but that excuse is gone now.
Clubbing
Dance? Me? hahahahaha. You might get me to try it once as it has been a long time. I seem to be a little old for it now. Not sure when that changed happened.
Newspapers and magazines
Cars and gadget magazines mainly. I tend to browse them rather than read them from cover to cover. Never enough time. News comes from the internet or TV.
Books
I only read books when on holiday.
TV
I need noise all the time at home. Music or TV is fine. SKY+ is set to record Top Gear, the gadget show and several comedy shows. Two and a Half Men is the best of those.
Watching sport
Ice Hockey. Over the years I have taken several dates to see Nottingham Panthers play. They loved it without exception. I must be doing something right.
Playing sport
I run around a squash court as often as I can. I try to go every week but that isnt always possible. I would love to go back to Karate. I did it long ago but I still miss it.
Hobbies
More? I'm either at work or doing the stuff above.
My hopes and dreams
In ten years I see myself
Financially independent and working by choice not by necessity.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?
Stephen Fry, Jeremy Clarkson, Chris Evans - I would enjoy listening! Just light the blue touch paper and let them go.
My ideal date
First date: coffee and then dinner.
Serious fantasy date: Dinner in Paris or wherever appeals to her
What would I never, ever give up?
Music. My life and my head would be empty if I didn't have a song going around my head. Usually the last one I heard in the car.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...
Consideration of others
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history
I would love to see the Big Bang ... or more precisely the moment just before. What would I see?
If I had a million pounds to give to charity
Wish Granting for terminally ill kids. I work with charities and see so many great causes all the time but this gets my emotional involvement every time.
My "and finally" section ...
Nah. I'm cool. In fact I say "cool" way too much.
