Hello everyone, well I've been a member on MSE for almost two and a half years and I love the supportive ethos here. I'm a single parent, have a lovely pooch and a cat and I appreciate the very simple in things in life. At my best I'm a very energetic, happy, patient, enthusiastic person who loves good conversation, mental stimulation and lots of belly laughs - love comedy, being outdoors, meeting people. At my worst I'm just like the above but a little bit less energetic, happy, patient or enthusiastic!! I'm as happy with my own company as with the company of others - I suppose you could describe me as an independent, direct, straightforward person with the tendency to be a bit of a geek (love sci-fi, reading, gardening and documentaries!!) with an absolutely massive appreciation of humour/sarcasm/irony which sometimes gets me into trouble. :o)

I don't think you could say I'm 'looking' for anything really, but I would find it very refreshing and quite lovely to stumble upon some lovely, genuine, happy souls. :o)

I am drawn to people who have something to say, who aren't scared to voice their opinions, people who are deep thinkers and those with vast intellects are always like magnets to me as I love to learn and am always interested in the thoughts and reasoning of others - even if I don't agree with them. I respect people for being individuals and who aren't afraid to stand up and be counted - those are the kind of people that I find the most interesting. Also people who are funny, I basically adore!!
