My hobbies and interests

Cooking	Not one of my favourite things to do, would describe my meals as functional at best, but can do a mean chilli!
Shopping	Only really go shopping if there's something to shop for.
DIY	I've surprised myself over the last 12 months with what I can actually do!
Housework	Must admit to liking a tidy house. Sorry, what can I say - I'm not proud of it!
Dining out	Love eating out, like lots of different food.
Movies	My favourite films are Shawshank Redemption and Schindler's List. Can't think of anything else, but there are loads. Oh yeah, Life Is Beautiful, gorgeous film. Atonement, too..
Theatre	Love musicals, esp. Les Miserables. Not very sophisticated I'm afraid.
Music	Like lots of music, pop/folk, maybe a bit edgy. Fleetwood Mac, Van Morrison, Pink Floyd. Really into Elbow at the moment.
Gigs	Like seeing live bands, especially in the local pub.
Pubs	Love going to pubs, especially the ones with a bit of charm and a fire in Winter.
Clubbing	Clubbing days definitely behind me!!
Newspapers and magazines	Like to get the paper on a Sunday, esp. Sunday Times, but usually end up throwing it out as haven't had time to read it!
Books	Love reading. Too many books to mention, although I did enjoy the Steig Larsson trilogy recently.
TV	Like to watch a bit of TV, esp. wildlife and nature documentaries.
Watching sport	Nope! Except maybe if England do particularly well in the Rugby World Cup (not very often then....)
Playing sport	The closest I come to sport is watching my son play football on a Sunday morning!
Hobbies	I love, love, LOVE walking when I get the chance. Nothing quite like getting out into the countryside (or climbing to the top of a mountain preferably) and not having to check the time every five minutes.

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	I'd like my children to have become happy, well-rounded people, who also quite like to spend a bit of time with their mother(!) Would like to be in a loving, happy and secure relationship.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	Stephen Fry, Miranda Hart, Winston Churchill - what a combination and what a great night that would be!
My ideal date	Someone who is easy to talk to, , intelligent, interesting, quite easy-going and laid back, not materialistic. Oh, and quite funny.
What would I never, ever give up?	My children (obviously!) and my first cup of coffee in the morning. And my health.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Loads of stuff! Far too much to mention.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	Newfoundland or the North East Coast of America in the Fall. Near the coast.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	Cancer
