I'm a mum of 4 (2 girls aged 13 and 11 and 2 boys aged 9 and 7) and have been on my own with them for 7 years now. I still find the time (and energy!) to swim, go to the gym, cinema, meals out, live gigs, and my favourite, walking on the beach near to where I live.

I love thunder storms, walking hand in hand in the rain, kissing (lots), hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows, coffee shops and people watching, the Yorkshire Dales - awesome in every season. Northumberland, just because its home.........

Just friendship for now, and who knows what might happen............

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	I love to cook, and like to do a lovely chinese spread on special occasions. Can't beat a Sunday roast, but I always leave room for pudding (have to, my mum told me to!). I like to try new foods, especially fish dishes.
Shopping	I do it when I have to, but am known for only going for what I want/need rather than traipsing around shops for hours.
DIY	errm nope not very handy, though I will try, and know when to ask for help
Housework	homely for sure with 4 children. I have been decluttering my life over the last year, and my home is feeling much better for it. Now to wield a paint brush......gulp
Dining out	I love it, its always a special occasion, even a pub meal with friends or the children. I like to try new dishes if I can, and of course those puddings.......
Movies	hmmm seems the films I can think of are all that I've been to with the children, something I need to change I think! Joined Lovefilm to start to catch up on the grown ups :)
Theatre	Love live theatre, musicals, dance, pantomimes. Smiling at the thought!
Music	I love anything 80's. I have been incredibly lucky to have seen many artists live that I admire. I am now going through the joys?!? of the artists my children like.
Gigs	Last big gig was P!nk at Stadium of Light. Like small intimate gigs at places like The Sage
Pubs	I prefer to go out for a meal than just a drink. I like to drink wine but am not an accomplished drinker by any means so couldn't reccommend a wine to you. I also drink Becks and Smirnoff Ice, but usually its fresh orange and lemonade as I tend to drive
Clubbing	Its been a while since I went to a club, but if its an occasion that warrants it then I'd go along. I do like to dance but not sure my place is in a night club nowadays
Newspapers and magazines	not really a reader of either. I prefer to just catch up on the news on the internet and avoid mindless gossip
Books	always loved to read, and starting to get into the habit of reading for pleasure again
TV	I rarely watch TV, but I think its different if you are sharing with someone
Watching sport	I like to watch my daughter swim and my sons play football and cricket.
Playing sport	My younger daughter swims competitively and I feel I live every stroke with her, so I guess I'm a virtual swimmer! Just got back into the swing of cycling again, though no great distances as yet.
Hobbies	I'm a Rainbow leader which I really enjoy and it gives me opportunities to do things I would otherwise not have chance to achieve

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	The years are speeding by so it'll be here before I know it! I'll hopefully have a little more spare cash to be able to enjoy my time after bringing the children up. I once thought I'd buy a cottage in the Yorkshire Dales, but my thinking has changed over the last 5 years, and so nothing is set in stone. I look forward to what the time will bring
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	my mum so I could hug her and tell her how proud I am to be her daughter (she died 7 years ago)
My ideal date	a cosy little cafe with a view of the sea where we could chat and spend a few pleasant hours with smiles and laughter
What would I never, ever give up?	my children are precious, sometimes hard work and sometimes life feels unrewarding. But just a hug, a smile and I'm back on track. They need me and I'll always be there for them
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	that all children deserve the same breaks in life. Whatever background, however little money, each child should be able to be the best they can be
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	Scandanavia in Heidi's time I think........is that too idealistic I wonder?
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	ah hard choice, it would have to be on underpriveleged children I think as I believe all children have the potential to be amazing
My "and finally" section ...	I am happy with my life. It's fun and full of love and laughter. I am looking to share my happiness with someone who can compliment my life and and add to it his own recipe for happiness
