I'm retired,was nursing and I miss the companionship but wonder how I found time to work and do a bit of voluntry work .Been widowed nearly 4yrs ,I have grandchild as well as the grown up version so keep pretty busy with family. My background is mixed middle classed I suppose although my genes come from travelling folks on fairs and working class. I read alot mainly mysteries and autobiographies ,some easy reading romance types for holidays.Love history and grand buildings member of national trust.I try to paint some times successfully I also like working in pastels [hate getting my hands dirty] Drive 2 cars [not at the same time]1 for the kids and dogs [I show the dogs].and a me car a little smart roadster which is cheap to run and great fun. I go out with friends alot mainly for meals theatre cinema and concerts. I'm not a needy woman but miss male companionship.I enjoy watching rugby and talk a good game usually watch the internationals in the pub with the local village team always a good night out. I love travelling not package tours more the sort of the arrive and go sort, spirit of adventure. Learning french and italian useless at italian hope to improve in a 100yrs. The french works better after a couple of glasses of red.I'm interested in current affairs and debating the world putting it to rights. I have a large garden which needs renovating work starts next week. I do enjoy it when its pretty in the summer sun shinning etc

hope to make new friends and meet up with them at events we think we might enjoy. I have loads of female friends so I'm hoping to improve the male ratio. I would like to meet people with similar interests who make me laugh .I'm a half full person always looking on the bright side of life hope you do too
