JollyJack (58) from Cheshire

I am tall, was dark now heading towards grey on top (the beard has given up on colour altogether). You have to judge the handsome bit yourself as I am too modest to comment.

I took early retirement after a career of 35 years at sea in the Merchant Navy, latterly sailing as a Captain. I have sailed the seven seas but do not feel I need to tell everyone about it and do not miss my previous life afloat! Seen the world, love Cheshire!

I was born in Manchester but have lived nearly 30 years on the southern border of Cheshire next to Staffordshire and enjoy the area I live in but hardly know it due to spending so much time away in the past.

I love the UK and plan to spend my time discovering new places to visit and re-visiting old favourites.

I am looking for friendship and activity partners with similar interests and passions. I am a creative sort of person who would like to be around others with a similar outlook and a love of the same things that interest me. I am getting back into walking in the countryside so other walkers are especially welcome.
