Jinty (52) from Shropshire
I am a genuine, honest, attractive and intelligent professional artist/designer, with a truly devilish sense of humour, who is ready to find that all-too-elusive mate to share with. . .I hesitate to use the word 'soul-mate' as it seems to have become somewhat de-valued, but I guess that is ultimately what we all strive for.
I am a green-eyed blonde who is warm and sensitive but with an edge...not a pushover...but worth pursuing, as I have alot to offer and to give in every sense.
I love horse-riding, walking, dancing and most out-door activities. . .I live in an area of outstanding natural beauty and like to take full advantage of it.
I have wide musical tastes varying from classical to rock, blues and jazz. Also enjoy most of the arts, and regularly go to theatre, concerts and cinema etc.
Having said that, I also really enjoy cosy and intimate nights in...having a very warm and affectionate disposition...still romantic enough to enjoy and whisper poetry into the right ear, and to hear it back in similar fashion!I love the excitement of banter and word-sparring and find the mind just as stimulating as the body...one heightens the other I find...and really do enjoy a devilish sense of humour...you will not be bored!
Always difficult to fully describe what I'm looking for...so much depends on that mutual chemistry, but for an idea. . .
I am genuinely looking for someone who finds honesty important, and is also looking for a loving one-to-one relationship. Although not of paramount importance, someone who is attractive, professional, also intelligent and witty...infact a sharp and wicked sense of humour is a definite bonus, as I certainly possess similar.
So much will and does hang on actually talking and meeting, but some similar tastes and feelings to myself would not sound unreasonable...
Someone who can hold their own in most given situations, and has an open mind and affectionate nature would definitely appeal.
With the right spark, and a genuine honesty...we could have some great fun, and that is always a good place to start!

My detailed facts
My hobbies and interests
Cooking
I enjoy cooking immensely...have actually completed a Cordon Bleu course. I am as happy cooking French or Italian as Indian or Thai.
I always try to use authentic ingredients and source as naturally as I can.
I think it important to present one dish as well and simply as possible rather than trying to over do it with lots of different ones - keep the flavours clean.
Shopping
A poison chalice....supermarket shopping is the bottom line but has to be done.
I do enjoy shopping for accessories - bags, scarves, shoes et al...can a girl have too many?
I can't walk easily past a book shop...and also adore specialist shops and deli's and farmers' markets...you feel a little virtuous when you support the local farmers and producers.
DIY
I know my limitations here...can change a plug and do minor repairs, but would rather get other jobs done properly by those who know how...can wield a paint brush with the best of them though!
Housework
My house is clean with most things in their place, but I'm certainly not obsessive, and can look a cobweb in the face without freaking about it being there!
Dining out
I love the whole experience of dining out in a fine restaurant...it is good to be able to relax and choose favourite food whilst being able to enjoy conversation and company. Favourite foods include asparagus, turbot, and most game. Favourite pudding is lemon torte.
Movies
I tend to be a bit 'retro' in my favourite films...much of what is released today is absolute dross;
My favourite films are 'Breakfast at Tiffanys', 'North by North West' and 'Blade Runner'.
Also like 'fim noir' genre...The Third Man is definitely up there, also all of the Ealing Comedies and 'Hobson's Choice'...very fond of Fellini and Jean Luc Goddard. Favourite actors : Cary Grant (suave with comic timing deeply under-estimated), Al Pacino (incredible presence which jumps from the screen), Rutger Hauer (simply because of Blade Runner, and those Guiness ads) and Audrey Hepburn (innate and effortless elegance in everything).
Theatre
Since leaving London I don't get to the theatre as often as I would like.
Have seen all the major West End shows, but my favourite plays which resonate in the memory are 'American Buffalo' which starred Al Pacino live on the London stage and just reiterates his incredible presence, and 'Lettuce and Lovage' which starred Maggie Smith and Margaret Tyzack and had marvellous acting and comic timing.
Music
Completely catholic in my tastes...everything from chamber music, baroque and orchestral to jazz, R&B, MoTown, Rock, some heavy metal, pop and even some easy listening.
What is often likely to be playing at home is The Gotan Project, Madeleine Peyroux, and dear Nick Drake
Gigs
Large stadia gigs make me nervous...it's the crowds that do it...although don't mind classical music venues, as there is more decorum...having said that, the two bands I would have loved to have seen live in their hey-day are Pink Floyd and The Who...Daltrey's primeval scream.....spine-tingling!
Pubs
Fond of local country pubs, but that's it...not keen on pubs in general,,they have to have some authentic charm or forget it...
Clubbing
I think I would feel like a fish out of water when it comes to the clubbing scene....
Newspapers and magazines
Read some newspapers, but not that often as there are so many other sources of news available today, but if I do it will probably be The Independent or The Times....the only time I read magazines is when I am at the hairdressers and captive...then it could well be Hello or House and Garden..whatever is on the rack.
Books
I absolutely adore books - even the feel and smell of a new book is an anticipation of reading it.
Favourite book of all time? This is really difficult, but I think it has to be 'Love in the Time of Cholera' by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
I am always reading...currently 'The Leopard' by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa and 'Honey from a Weed' by Patience Gray...can read a cookery book just as avidly as a biography or fiction...P.D.James is also a favourite...and often return to 'Wind in the Willows' with great nostalgia....
TV
Television has to be treated judiciously...it can suck you in, but so much rubbish is there that I have become very selective...enjoy the usual - wildlife and documentaries - but favourites are Have I Got News For You, and the sheer standard of writing in The West Wing and Law and Order makes them diamonds in the dust.
Watching sport
It has to be rugby I'm afraid...
Playing sport
I have occasionally been known to play a round of golf, but it is more likely to be dance aerobics or yoga.
Hobbies
Recently started to learn croquet...archetypal English pastime and more fun than you would imagine
