I'm 29 and just moved to Portadown from Scotland about 6 months ago. I have a small property rental and renovation business based in Scotland.
OK I'll start with my good points. I'm considerate, don't take mysef too seriously, genuine, unique, strange sense of humour, usually happy, great listener, honest, always make an effort to be nice and I have all the free time in the world.
Now the bad. I am painfully shy and always have been. I know this doesn't sound like too bad a thing but with me it is. I could never just go up to someone and start talking to them. I have met plenty of people who thought I wasn't interested in them because I was too shy to open up with them. It can sometimes be quite hard to get to know me at first because of this, although once I get to know someone I tend to lose my inhibitions pretty fast.

I don't have a type of person that I prefer. I just like people who are kind and easy to get along with.

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	Can't really cook. Always wished I could and am always happy to try.
Shopping	I like it in short doses, but too much makes me want to slit my wrists.
DIY	I'm a property developer and renovated my first few properties mostly myself. I wouldn't say I enjoy it too much though. I'd rather get the experts in.
Housework	Hate housework. I've made an art out of not messing up my house so that I rarely need to do too much housework.
Dining out	I love Chinese, A spicy Indian, Chicken fajitas and a good old fashioned fry up.
Movies	Always like going to the cinema. Like most things, even chick-flicks but my faves are comedy.
Theatre	Never been. I really do need to experience some culture.
Music	I like indie and rock best. I like The Flaming Lips, The National, Muse, White Stripes and some oldies like The Velvet Underground and Television.
Gigs	Never really been to many gigs but would love to go. Don't mind if its unknown bands in the local pub or a big band at a stadium.
Pubs	Not a regular pub go-er but I like to go from time to time.
Clubbing	Think my clubbing days may be in the past. Got knocked out and had my new shoes stolen last time I tried it.
Newspapers and magazines	I read them when I visit my parents. Saves me having to talk to them. It's usually the Scottish ones, keeps me up to date with whats going on back home.
Books	Not a big book reader, last one I read was the Red Dwarf book.
TV	Not a big telly addict although I like things like My name is Earl, The Inbetweeners and Doctor Who.
Watching sport	Big fan of Falkirk F.C. For the uninitiated they're the top club in Scotland.
Playing sport	Sadly not.
Hobbies	Just moved to N. Ireland and got a scooter, so I'm loving getting to see the country.

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	I've always wanted to move abroad. Maybe one day I'll pluck up the courage to actually go for it.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	Rasputin, Caligula and God. I'd invite God just to find out if he's real and if I needed to take up religion and the other 2 just because they were completely mad.
My ideal date	A quiet drink and a nice meal. OK sorry, I know it's not original and I'm open to ideas.
What would I never, ever give up?	Only being myself.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	I hate unfairness. I'd probably stand on my soapbox ranting about how unfair so many things are until everyone got bored and wandered away.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	I would love to see the future. I'd like to see what civilization will be like centuries from now. Yeah, I am a bit of a closet geek.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	Something to help the homeless. I've seen how easy it is for someone with a great life to lose it over night and end up on the streets.
