Music lover in all forms. Gothic poet. Generally a nice person but cripplingly shy most of the time. Although I am not as shy as I was!

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	I love to cook Italian and Indian although I make a mean braised steak :)
Shopping	I loathe it with a passion. I go to shop to buy what I want and get out as fast as possible!
DIY	I have been a DIY god and a disaster in the same day. Reasonably competent and good for getting things short people can't reach.
Housework	I am proud of my place and make sure it remains spotless. Housework is a necessary evil but as I live alone most of the time it's not bad.
Dining out	If I don't have to cook it, I will eat it!
Movies	I haven't been to the pictures for years. I wouldn't be averse though. I like most genres as long as they are well written and acted.
Theatre	I rarely go except for the Rocky Horror Show and Return To The Forbidden Planet.
Music	Huge heavy metal, goth, industrial and EBM fan. Carcass, Coheed And Cambria, The Sisters Of Mercy and VNV Nation all float my boat.
Gigs	Don't go to nearly enough. Saw VNV Nation a couple of weeks back and was reminded how great live music is.
Pubs	Mmmmmmmmmmmm beer, wine, absinthe.
Clubbing	Rarely. Normally to be found at biker rallies and rock nights.
Newspapers and magazines	I don't read propaganda. But I do read Airforces Monthly.
Books	I read voraciously. Any genre as long as there is an interesting tale to tell. Also non-fiction. I like to expand my mind.
TV	TV is the idiot's lantern and to be avoided most of the time.
Watching sport	Formula One and ice hockey are the only sports that interest me.
Playing sport	Does chasing rally virgins about campsites count?
Hobbies	I am a biker. That is my hobby and my passion. I love my club and the friends I have made.

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	I want to be able to buy a clubhouse for the Pythons and quit work to live and work there instead.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	Stephen Fry, Adolf Hitler and Jesus Christ. Now that would be an interesting conversation between a gay celibate, a racist and homophobe and a man for whom lying with another man would be a sin. Most entertaining, although I would have to remove all weapons first...
My ideal date	Fun, with helpless giggles and the sheer feeling of rightness you get with the right person.
What would I never, ever give up?	Poetry. It's my salvation.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Military aircraft. It's my guilty secret. I just love military aircraft. I don't know why.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	Jacobean England with a squad of Challenger 2 tanks. Then I could take over the world.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	The NSPCC.
