Hi. I am a 54 year old, fit healthy aging rock chick type woman. I am very family oriented and have just been spending a few weeks setting up a new salon with my daughter. I have done many things in my life. I have three children and four grandchildren. I have spent quite a bit of my time living on an island in the South Atlantic, but have been back for some time. I am normally a legal secretary but have done many things. I have spent the last few years living on a narrowboat and travelling around the waterways seeing my own country instead of the rest of the world in a landrover, which I have done too. I am at a bit of a crossroads in my life, one in which I am nowhere in particular and am looking for my next direction to take. I like the countryside, painting and being creative in many different ways. I like boats and landrovers and engines and am not afraid to get dirty, but I am not doing anything like that at the moment. I have just moved off one of my boats and it is up for sale, my son is on my other one. What next, I'm not sure, but I have been on my own now for two years and would like to meet someone to share a few nice times with. I'm not possessive or needy and would not expect anyone else to be either. I am an independent woman, always have been and I should think always will be. I like a challenge and plunging into new experiences of all kinds.

I am looking for someone to meet up with, have a drink and a laugh perhaps. Go for walks, see what we had in common etc. It would have to be someone who was not possessive in any shape or form, that is crucial. I would never give anybody any reason to be jealous and as I am my own person I find it insulting and corrosive. Anyone who was my ideal man would be warm and funny, a family man, someone a bit creative (either art, music, making things etc), is the kind of person who is a bit handy and didn't mind getting his hands dirty. Someone who had his own life and wouldn't expect to consume me and my life whole. Someone who was interesting to talk to and was not too stuck in his ways. Someone who loved to have fun and was spontaneous.
