Heidi-Hi (54) from Dorset

I am humourous, honest, warm, sensitive, thoughtful, optimistic, romantic, cuddly, effulgent, literate, retail therapy resistant...... an enigma, in fact a paragon of female virtue !
My only vices are an almost boundless capacity for self-deception, shyness, and a tendency to excessive modesty.
Among the many things that I like, in no particular order or significance are :- silk, cotton, bananas, thunderstorms, ancient Egypt, Corsica, cats, penguins, the smell of recent rain on a dry summer road and tar, Italy, enormous gateaux, surprises, chocolate, lists, raindrops on roses and brown paper packages tied up with strings. I have recently taken up gilding lilies as a hobby.
I prefer white wine to red wine; coffee to tea (yuk!); chicken to beef; butter to margarine; white chocolate to dark; cats to dogs; swimming to skiing; reading to writing; love to hate and warmth to cold.
I enjoy travel; drawing & painting watercolours; photography; researching my family history, and a good book now and then. I love to explore (& paint, time permitting!)the Dorset coast and countryside, and just loved the Caribbean. I visit(as often as poss,)& help let, a villa in the Algarve for my parents.I'm now an accounts administrator for a care charity, who spends far too much leisure time at the pc. Please come and rescue me soon, before terminal dullness sets in!?

A nice, ordinary bloke, preferably a bit of an old-fashioned romantic,(definitely a non-smoker, & hopefully a bit taller than me),to start as a friend and "see how it goes". Maybe just some new friends.....who knows? Surprise me!
