About me

After being a member of Midsummers Eve for quite a while, I have unfortunately, due mainly to the lack of response, come to the conclusion that this site is tailored primarily towards the younger generation, and does not cater for the needs of older members.It would therefore appear that a person of my age 73 stands very little chance of finding someone.Nevertheless, even though I have for many years believed in the old adage,"If at first you dont succeed, Give it up" I have decided to give it another go.

Now comes the difficult bit, what do you say about yourself, that makes you sound interesting to other people, how do you describe the person whose image you see in the mirror each morning after getting out of bed,the image that shocks you into asking,"What the Hell happened to you?"not a pretty sight anymore Still it has to be done, so here goes.

I suppose I could lie, and paint a pretty picture of somebody who I am not, but being old fashioned, one of the old school,and having been brought up to always speak the truth, what would be the point?

As stated earlier I am 73 years old,6ft 4ins tall, and heavy build,and as you can see from the photographs am no George Clooney lookalike, mores the pity,I do not smoke,or drink,hate Clubs, Discos,and loud noisy places,I have no interest in sport of any description, apart from the occasional game of outdoor flat green bowls which I enjoy.

The countryside, and the seashore, are particular favorites of mine,nothing that I enjoy more than jumping in the car for a day out exploring places of interest, then looking for a quaint old Village Pub,or restaurant and enjoying a good meal, before spending quality time chatting to the locals,and watching the world go by,"Bliss"

About you

Looking for a nice, kind, home loving lady, someone who like me believes in, and appreciates the simple pleasures,virtues, and old fashioned values, of days gone by,which are so sadly missing from todays society.Looks to me are not really important as it is the inner person that counts, not the outer shell.Someone who shares some of my interests would be nice, but not essential.If any of you ladies are interested, please get in touch, it would certainly make my day,and possibly yours.
