HappyBunny (76) from Worcestershire

I have been a member of Midsummers Eve for quite a while now,and whilst initially it was quite an interesting, and enjoyable time, it soon became obvious that being 73 years old,my chances of finding someone in my age group were to say the least limited.

Not a lot to say about myself,apart from the fact that I am just an ordinary working class man(and proud of it)who likes peace, and quiet and the simple things in life.

Looking for a nice, kind, home loving lady, someone who like me believes in, and appreciates the simple pleasures,virtues, and old fashioned values, of days gone by,which are so sadly missing from todays society.

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	Yes I enjoy cooking, like most fresh home cooked plain dishes,never eat convenience ready made microwave, or frozen meals
Shopping	Do not enjoy shopping at all,apart from the essential supermarket shop.
DIY	Very good at DIY,can turn my hand to most jobs around the house.Even good with assembling flat packs.
Housework	My house could be described as clean, and tidy, but lived in.
Dining out	Not really interested, or able to afford eating out very often, apart from celebrating special events.
Movies	Gave up going to the cinema many years ago when, in my opinion the content, and quality of the majority of new films released went downhill!!.
Theatre	Not a culture vulture, but never been really interested in the theatre,especially now not being able to afford the horrendous prices charged
Music	Have calmed down a lot since my Teddy Boy days.like 50s-80s music,and have a great love of both country, and folk music
Gigs	As a young man a lot of my time was spent attending lots of gigs of all the current bands, and recording stars of the 50s-80s.
Pubs	Do not drink at all these days,but continue to make use of local pubs, for the occasional pub meal washed down with a soft drink, or a coffee.
Clubbing	Sorry too old for clubbing these days.
Newspapers and magazines	Daily paper Daily Express,and local Worcester News. Sunday Express No magazines read , only in waiting rooms.
Books	Had to give up reading a few years back due to failing eyesight.
TV	Spend too much time watching t/v Watch a lot of National Geographic, Animal Planet, and Discovery on Sky.
Watching sport	Cannot see what all the fuss is about
Playing sport	Do a bit of course fishing, and play outdoor green bowls.
Hobbies	Bird watching, Photography,Outdoor Bowls,Gardening,exploring the Countryside.Spend too much time on my p/c

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	Alive, and in reasonable health.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	Henry Fonda, Zane Grey, Margaret Thatcher.
My ideal date	A day spent exploring places of interest in either the countryside, or seashore,and enjoying either a picnic, or a meal in a quaint country pub.
What would I never, ever give up?	Apart from breathing,which of course is essential, I do not believe there is anything I would not be prepared to give up
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	The University of life, of which I have been part of for so many years.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	Have always fancied living in Borneo and helping to look after the poor wretched Orang-utan orphans who are being slaughtered unnecessarily
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	Any animal charity who are, and have been abused by man, their worse enemy!!
My "and finally" section ...	Nothing really,apart from the fact that I am a great chatterbox, who finds it difficult to stop talking, and I am also a bit of an extrovert.
