About me

Quiet professional 56 year old divorced male, with three grown up children all living away.

I like music of all sorts ranging from classical through jazz to some modern indy bands and Manchester garage.

I love long walks in the countryside and by the sea. Has great spiritual awareness and interest in nature and the earth. I also enjoy reading and writing. I suppose mature hippy is a good description.

I smoke a pipe, in moderation and am gradually weaning myself off this, but I don't smoke around people who don't smoke. I worry that if I suddenly stop, I'll put weight on again. I hardly ever drink, as I'm usually driving and won't mix the two, but cliched though it may be, I would love to share a good bottle of wine with someone special in front of an open fire.

I'm overweight, but working on it very successfully at present. The walking helps, but it would be nice to have someone to walk with.

I have my own IT business, but also am employed by a bank carrying out Systems Analysis work. I have medium length grey brown hair, a beard, and brown eyes.

I recently moved to the North from Devon, to be closer to my family, particularly my new Grand Daughter. I am living with a family friend at the moment while I find a suitable place of my own.

About you

A similarly spiritually aware woman for friendship initially, hopefully leading to a permanent relatonship with someone to mutually share the good times with and be there for each other should there be bad times too.

I genuinely think looks etc are irrelevant, and I do not look at photo's of people who have included them, (blocked in browser)as I feel this can lead to unfair preconceptions. I would like to get to know a person rather than make a snap assessment from some shallow facade we show to the world. It isn't a problem though to send a picture should anyone want one.
