I'm eccentric, articulate, creative, curious and romantic. I work as an educational consultant, love to read, lean new things, meet new people and visit new places. I like anything quirky and interesting, and especially if it involves, animals, art or history.
I would like to meet new people outside of my normal circle of friends, expand my horizons. Many of my friends are married with children and have very little free time these days, so it would be great to find some new hobbies and new people to enjoy them with.

I'm 31 years old and come from South West London in the United Kingdom. I'm single with no kids. I'm 5' 10" tall and I'd describe myself as slim. I don't smoke and I drink occasionally. I'm here for dating, friendship and hobbies and interests.

Cooking
|
I like cooking, especially baking. All different types, I make curries, sushi, lots of italian and mexican food, I even bake bread when I have the time. Love cook books and I have quite a collection.

Shopping
|
Love shopping, especially vintage and antique shops. Flea markets and farmer's markets are also great fun. Mostly I shop for clothes and books, but I like art and ceramics too.

DIY
|
Don't know much about DIY but keen to learn. I'm good with my hands, so hopefully won't be a disaster zone. I can bleed a radiator and wire a plug, but that's about it.

Housework
|
I am quite house proud, but finding the time and motivation to clean is tough. I aslo have a tiny flat and too many possessions so it's never going to be homes and gardens perfect. I live in organised clutter.

Dining out
|
I like eating out, but being a vegetarian limits my options. I like italian and japanese restaurants, and know some really awesome vegetarian places.

Movies
|
I don't go to the cinema much, but would be happy to go more. Comedy, romance or drama mainly. I don't like horror movies and violent action films tend to bore me.

Theatre
|
Love the theatre, would go more if I had the time and could afford good seats! Mostly go to support friends who are actors these days.

Music
|
I'll listen to anything, but I like country, classical, folk music, and the usual chart-y stuff. Not a big fan or rap or punk.

Gigs
|
Don't go to many gigs, have never really been into music that much, I'll go see a favourite singer, but music festivals and like always seem a bit too manic to me.

Pubs
|
I like pubs and bars but more to meet people and chat than for the booze.

Clubbing
|
I love to dance, don't get the opportunity much these days, but always willing.

Newspapers and magazines
|
I avoid newspapers, unless it's the gardening or style section. I like gardening and cookery magazines, also design or crafts ones.

Books
|
Love books, my flat is literally overflowing with them. I am never without a book. I like science, history, philosophy, botany, fiction, poetry, romance, how to books, cook books, almost anything. Too many favourites to mention. I'm always looking for new suggestions.

TV
|
I don't watch a lot of telly, but certain shows I will make time for. River Cottage, Justified, Scrubs, Weeds, True Blood, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Craig Ferguson.

Watching sport
|
Not a big sports fan, and really can't see the point of football. Will watch cricket, tennis, or polo in person, but not much interest in TV sports.

Playing sport
|
Don't have a competitive bone in my body, and not keen on contact sports so swimming is the only sport I could really claim. Used to play tennis, but I'm not very proficient.

Hobbies
|
I can ski and scuba dive, I like walking, gardening, climbing trees, knitting, making jewellery, and origami. I grow orchids, love animals, will decorate anything given half the chance, and take every opportunity to celebrate something, especially if there can be cake and costumes and cocktails.
