I'm a mass of contradictions. I like football and literature, opera and country music. I'm butch, tattooed and I read poetry for pleasure. I write (fiction and poetry). I'm a vegan but I love leather. I love to travel - been all over the world - but I love my home too. I'm an ex-smoker. I don't really drink though I like a nice scotch every once in a while. I'm a coffee addict. I read - a lot - fiction, sci-fi, fantasy - also history, law and politics.

I don't watch tv much - sports and one or two favourite programmes but that's it. I don't watch soaps - hate them with a passion. My absolute favourite tv show generally leaves me open to ridicule - but I'm tough - I can take it!!

I like cinema - action, sci-fi, foreign language, - a whole variety there too.

Until recently I rode a motorcycle - had a nasty accident which means I can't ride now.

I like adrenaline sports - white-water rafting, abseiling, bungy, but can't do any of that at the moment - still mending.

I'm London born & bred but I've lived in Devon for years. I love the countryside - especially the moors.

Erf!! Edited to add that I'm a lesbian and consequently looking for other lesbians (or bi-women of course)

I'm not looking for a relationship - not right now - I'm mainly looking for friends.

I don't have any real "must have" qualities for the people I meet.

I'd like to be able to hold a conversation with you. If you have similar interests that's great. If not - well - it gives us something to talk about - I'm a firm believer in life-long learning g.

I have a rather off-the-wall sense of humour (sarcastic too) so a GSOH is a must.

I'm not good at chatting to near-strangers on the phone so it'd be email, IM and a meet-up before I'll talk on the phone...
