I am 5'3" short, have long naturally dark ginger hair and of average build. I work full time and I am married with two teenage children, two rabbits, a hamster and a cat.
I enjoy camping/caravanning, walking/hiking, reading crime/mystery novels, being outside the house, playing board games with friends (such as scrabble).
I do not like clubbing, cooking, shopping (not normal I know).

Would like to meet genuine people for general social activities. I am genuinely interested in people and enjoy the simple life. Life is too complicated as it is. Fun and laughter are most definately required.

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	No. I cook to survive only. It gets in the way of doing other more interesting things. I don't like liver, beetroot, cauliflower. No favourite styles as such. My favourite meal is beef stew and dumplings.
Shopping	Don't like shopping. Shop for needs only. I get bored or frustrated or both whilst shopping. The quicker I can get in and out of town, the better.
DIY	Like being creative. Enjoy painting, wall-papering, and simple DIY stuff, like mending things or creating things, such as making a rabbit run, etc.
Housework	Not my finest feature. Not houseproud, but homely. But not a slob either. Untidy, but not dirty. Don't enjoy housework, but someone has to do it. Again, it gets in the way of doing more interesting things.
Dining out	Like to eat out occasionally. No particular favourite types of food. Favourite sweet is Cheesecake.
Movies	Enjoy going out to the movies, but also enjoy watching DVD's at home too. Mostly watch romantic comedy's at the moment. Something to lighten life, have a bit of a laugh.
Theatre	Would be nice to go to some live theatre sometime. Enjoyed it when I have been occasionally, but should go more often. Comedy's would be my favourite. Like John Godber plays.
Music	I like a lot of different music but especially blue grass, folk, rock, acoustic, pop punk, power pop/emo I don't like Jazz, modern or otherwise, or screamo
Gigs	Only ever been to one gig and that was David Bowie.
Pubs	Don't like town pubs or lager louts. I prefer spit and sawdust country pubs with flagstone floors and real ale.
Clubbing	Don't do it. Never enjoyed clubbing even when young. Don't do disco dancing. Don't do kareoki (however it is spelt).
Newspapers and magazines	Don't read newspapers or watch the news - only depresses you. Don't read any magazines either.
Books	Enjoy reading crime/mystery type novels. Favourite authors are Minette Walters and Mandasue Heller, but read lots of different authors.
TV	Don't watch much at all on TV. Not watched anything for the last few weeks. Mostly watch DVD's instead. However, I do like to watch a good nature programme or property programme. Also like loose women (it's a female thing). Sometimes watch Come dine with me - for light entertainment.
Watching sport	Don't watch sport really. Don't like football at all. Occasionally watched american football, swimming and diving and some gymnastics and cycling, but that's about all really.
Playing sport	Like to go swimming. Usually go once a week. Would also like to get my bike out soon and start using that (especially since fuel prices are so high).
Hobbies	I enjoy craft activities. Most recently I have been making jewellry and prior to that was doing glasswork like stained glass and tiffany glass stuff. I really enjoy making things, but don't always have so much time for it as I would really like.

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	In ten years time I would like to have retired early, so that I can pursue other interests more fully.

My ideal date	Someone who has a good sense of humour and is spontaneous.
What would I never, ever give up?	Freedom. I could give up all possessions, but freedom is the most special thing that anyone can have.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Going back to living off the land and making life less complicated and more rewarding.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	I would like to visit New Zealand, because of the outdoor nature of the place.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	I would have to split it between different ones, such as guidedogs for the blind, RNLI, Cancer Research, Hydrocephalus, Diabetes etc.
