Talking to people who love to talk about everything and anything is something I enjoy. I'm open-minded because that's how you learn about new things, and I'm always willing to be amazed and delighted! Teach me about the things that make you happy - sharing fun and happiness is the best thing about having someone special in your life.
I'm a school librarian because I love books and teaching teenagers is the best way I know of being constantly gobsmacked! For me, being a librarian means recognising that English is a living language, and that means revelling in the colloquial. As well as playing with the polysyllabic. Lynn Truss is one of my heroes.
I'm in awe of musicians because apart from the swanee kazoo I can't play an instrument. But I love to sing, everything, from rock to Ravel. Blues is my favourite and watching and listening to live music is bliss. Don't expect me to reel off a list of names because I hardly ever remember them, but I'll happily share your musical taste if you'll share mine.
Part of the way I express my love of the natural world is being a pagan. I'm not bigoted about religious belief - if you follow a spiritual path then I can respect that. Mine's preChristian and I'm learning about Wicca; I see it as being a way of honouring the life force and helping me to find my path in life. I do not dress in black all the time, and I don't have anything to do with the kind of people who use the excuse of being into black magic to do horrible stuff. I do carry out my own rituals on each full moon, and I have been known to produce health spells and healing energies for my loved ones. I suppose you'd call me a Hedgewitch. Open-minded people who love life, enjoy laughing, and hold beliefs passionately. I hope to find a man who understands and cares about me. And being understood means recognising that when I come home ready to explode, I don't expect or want you to put it all right for me. A listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, someone to pour me a drink, tell me I'm right or point out where I'm going wrong, and hold me. Holding. Oh yes, that's really a very important part of what I'm looking for. Lots of physical contact. Hand-holding, walking hand in hand, exchanging that look that speaks volumes. Being able to be quiet together because we each know that we can trust the other to understand, or if they don't, not to judge. I want a passionate lover, a wise teacher, a good friend.
