I am a person of the world and enjoy all of humanity. I work as an electrician in a hospital at present.
Between normal jobs I have been a bit of a drifter in my time, from grape picking in france and Italy to olive picking and itinerant labourer in Greece. Later working as a volunteer instructor in Africa with VSO.
I am a low maintenance, relaxed, romantic, tactile, caring, thoughtful, happy person. I enjoy people and animals. I have a large extended family. I am very positive, have a great sense of humour. I enjoy getting out and about, like to see dawns and dusks and am not averse to puddle jumping :)
I have recently started going to the gym.

I would like to meet a kind, considerate, thoughtful, loving person who cares about people, animals and the world in general.
A person who enjoys the simple things in life and is not into material stuff would have a greater resonance with me.
A love of the outdoors and nature would be the icing on the cake.

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	I am a vegetarian, I do like rice and lentils in eastern cuisine. For salads I like mediteranian.
Shopping	I shop mostly online. I get fruit and veg from a wholesale market, otherwise local supermarkets. I'm not fussed about shopping. I am not materialistic.
DIY	I am pretty damn good a starting projects. My style is somewhat rustic. I enjoy whittling away with wood, and don't mind getting my hands dirty.
Housework	I could live under the bushes at the end of the garden, I am not obsessed with my surroundings, I enjoy colour. If you have a cattle prod I can do any work to any standard. I pull my weight, but I'm not fussy.
Dining out	I like dining out but don't really bother much.
Movies	I don't go the flicks often, but enjoy it when I do.
Theatre	I used to go a bit, but haven't for a good while. Again I enjoy it when I do.
Music	My favorite music is Reggae, Classical, Jazz, Ska, Blues and most stuff played by good musicians. I have a lot of friends who are musicians, I used to accompany them on the spoons playing Irish music.
Gigs	Not very often these days. Last one was Jimmy Cliff in Manchester. I think he got there on his OAP pass. I have been to Glastonbury in the old days when you could bunk in. Also other small festivals in Norfolk
Pubs	I used to go to pubs a lot. These days mainly to my brothers pub, or on family occasions and holidays.
Clubbing	Quite a long time ago, used to listen to stuff life Bowie, Souxsie and the Banshees, Punk and Reggae.
Newspapers and magazines	I rarely buy papers these days. Used to get Guardian, The Independant. Now I occasionally get Private Eye
Books	Mostly non-fiction. Biography's, travel, self-help, science . I've just got a kindle and am learning how to use it.
TV	Mainly documentaries and comedy really, a couple of hours a week. I prefer Radio 4.
Watching sport	Occasionally snooker, F1, usually if somebody else is watching.
Playing sport	Nope. A very long time ago I used to be a gymnast.
Hobbies	Juicing, going the gym,I mess about with computers, building and repairing them for family and friends. I sometimes sprout seeds and grow veg. Just started Yoga and pilates (it hurts)

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	I would like to be outstanding in my field, that is living in a more rural space, living the rustic good life. If I have my family and friends around, and they are happy and healthy, that will do me.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	Nelson Mandella, Lao Tzu and Wayne Dyer.
My ideal date	Having a walk through some woods with you, marvelling at the abundance of life around.
What would I never, ever give up?	vegetarian diet. I would not eat animals that I really like. I don't mind you eating meat. I am the only veggie in our family
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Peace. I cannot see the sense in the inhuman ways people find to treat each other. We are all brothers and sisters.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	I would like to go back in time to a place where people lived a wholly natural life at peace with each other and their environment.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	I would go and help the street kids in as many places around the world as possible.
My "and finally" section ...	My mum says I am a nice chap. A bit daft, but nice.
