My hobbies and interests

Cooking	I am improving.
Shopping	I do like shopping. Can't think why many people dislike it. Perhaps the secret is to avoid Saturday afternoons, if you can!
DIY	Hammered a nail through a water pipe once. Try to avoid diy now.
Housework	I tidy up just before visitors arrive.
Dining out	Yes. Chinese, French and Italian.
Movies	Love films. I go nearly every week. I loved The Artist and enjoyed The Most Exotic Marigold Hotel.
Theatre	I go to the theatre quite often, to Norwich, Cambridge and sometimes to the West End. Favourite plays are Private Lives, Death of a Salesman and Much Ado about Nothing.
Music	I like a bit of rock but also listen to Michael Buble at times. I also like a bit of Leonard Cohen.
Gigs	Roxette last November. I would like to see Bruce Springsteen sometime.
Pubs	Not really me.
Clubbing	They never started!
Newspapers and magazines	Yes, Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday.
Books	I like reading. All time fave was Catch 22. Lately I loved One Day.
TV	Yes, I watch a lot. I enjoyed Sherlock and Pointless is my favourite quiz.
Watching sport	I like watching football. I watch golf sometimes on Sky.
Playing sport	I keep trying to play golf. There is some progress but I don't have the patience to practice the same shot over and over again which is what you need to do to become a good player.
Hobbies	I am trying to be a writer and belong to a writing group. I also go horse racing in the summer. Made a profit last year, I didn't the year before.

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	Alive and kicking; healthy and happy.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	Sorry to be boring but after much thought I would be very selfish and invite three family members.
My ideal date	Drink followed by a meal.
