I'm a sociable, easy-going girl who can also be quite reserved and reflective at times.
I'm an architect, something I'm very passionate about; so many of my interests relate to design and street life...basically, anything that pops up in the city. or doesn't.
When I need privacy and contrast I love spending time in the countryside; fishing, walking, gardening and being around animals.

I'm open-minded about people but I do know what I like/want; you have a sense of humour and like to laugh, you're intelligent, confident, spontaneous and environmentally and ethically responsible. On top of that, hopefully you're also a normal guy with some normal flaws.
I don't have an agenda for being on this website; but I'd lke to meet new people and who knows, something might become of it...

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	I like cooking, with and for other people. I'm good at cooking every-day food but have less patience with extravagant meals that require recipes, planning and organisation. However, I like experimenting with my food and vary it according to season and locality.
Shopping	Love/hate relationship as I don't believe in this consumerism we're so absorbed by. However, shopping can have a restorative and inspiring effect but I'm becoming less interested in owning things, unless there is a good investment
DIY	Again, patience is an issue and I tend to take short-cuts, which means that the object, although "fixed" will break down again after a while.
Housework	I cant stand clutter, so Im normally good at tidying up and keeping things clean.
Dining out	I love eating things I wouldnt make at home; sushi once in a while, a good burger in a good setting, Greek food and diverse, inspiring vegetarian restaurants. I also love a simple but good pizza, Indian curries and having a greasy fry-up can be one of the most amazing moments ever :)
Movies	I dont go often (at the moment) but like the drama/thriller genres. I quite lke arthouse cinema and greater selections than the mainstream ones
Theatre	I really enjoyed Hedda Gabler (Ibsen) and Chekhov's 'Uncle Vanya', two of the few plays I've seen
Music	rock, folk, blues, jazz, some country, pop-electronic.... First and foremost, R.E.M. + Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and others of that generation Iron&Wine, Metric, Ladyhawke, LIttle Boots, the Killers, Lykke Li, Hot Chip, Junior Boys, The Veils just a few at the top of my head
Gigs	definitely local pub/venues, I also like exploring new and unknown bands and I like the intimacy in smaller places
Pubs	Love 'em - both pubs and bars, especially wine bars
Clubbing	I make friends with younger and younger people so that I can keep that little hobby ;)
Newspapers and magazines	Depends, i buy them on weekends sometimes, on weekdays i only read them if they happen to be lying around Then, I mainly read journals for inspiration and work.
Books	I like biographies and educational literature in many areas
TV	Once in a while I'll over-indulge and watch soaps online for a whole day. Other than that, selected documentaries and current affairs.
Watching sport	Occasional matches in the World Cup, or some Olympics
Playing sport	I like the gym in winter but prefer to be outdoors in spring/summer; running mainly.
Hobbies	Country line dance is a new little hobby of mine :) Also, I've been getting a involved in wild food foraging; learning what weeds to eat and what's going to heal.

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	Absolutely hopeless question in my opinion... i like to capture the moment (while still achieving my goals) rather than think of 10 years ahead, so many more fun things happen along the way, and probably you'll end up in a completely different situation than if you plan...
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	My father, Janis Joplin and ... havent thought of a 3rd one. Maybe Adolf Hitler would be an interesting addition!
My ideal date	planned but still room for spontaneity. i'd like to have drinks somewhere special or unique, perhaps dinner, then a long walk which takes you to unexpected places...
What would I never, ever give up?	i cant think of any material objects, so i will say my integrity, Without it, I'd be lost
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Being a foreigner
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	I'd go back to the bronze age and the village I grew up in; Id like to see how the land has changed, what they were doing on the exact same place I used to build tree houses...
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	My logic would say one thing, my emotions say suffering animals
